"D"day is approaching!! If "D" day is departure day we are currently "D" day minus two. We have been involved in preparations for many weeks. If we just let pass the time spent booking flights, hotels, transfers, car hire, tours, checking and updating insurance, passports, visas and vaccinations; ensuring we have tickets, vouchers and medication; arranging for Post Office to keep mail and for neighbours to keep an eye on the house; advising banks and credit card providers, landlord, letting agent of our travels we come to packing. Annie tells me it must be planned as a military operation (with her as the Commanding Officer). The C. O. has identified my role as key to the success of the operation. The role is in two parts:- 1. Do as you are told immediately you are told ... read more

Suffolk /Norfolk. Norfolk versus Suffolk. Which county is the best? Before we travelled we were told that some folks prefer Suffolk. Having never been we could not really say. Today though we were after our water boarding treatment going to try Suffolk and make a decision. Would we be able to make a decision though on just this one visit to Framlingham Castle. Probably not. It is a little like trying something once and saying you don't like it. You have to give it a fair trial and one day wouldnt be enough to make that decision.. So today was going to be just a tester. Perhaps we would come back at some later date. We set off saying goodbye to our lovely Norwich site and hit the road to the next county. We thought it ... read more

Saturday August 6,2016 Good Morning Everybody! Sally and I left Poplar Farm around 8:15 am and drove towards London. We arrived at the church where the Felting Workshop was being held about 10:15 am. Then I walked towards the nearest bus stop to get myself into the center of London. I hopped on bus #134 which brought me all the way to New Oxford Street which is near Tottenham Court Road Tube Station. I got on the the London Victoria tube line towards Kings Cross/St. Pancras and then stood in line with a few other people to take a photo at the site of HARRY POTTER 9 3/4 Platform. It was fun and wonderful! It was awesome to stop by the Harry Potter store as well to get some souvenirs. I walked all the way from ... read more

We did a furniture project outside which has turned out well. About 6pm- Sally,Sheri,Fleur,Millie and myself will join a few friends at Jimmy's Farm to see the Theater in the Forest. Europe » United Kingdom » England » Suffolk » Bury Saint Edmunds March 5th 2016

Bury St Edmunds Cathedral – w XII wieku wybudowano St James Church w Abbey Gardens. Następnie w XVI wieku ... read more

Europe » United Kingdom » England » Suffolk » Lavenham March 5th 2016

Do Lavenham dojechałyśmy wczesnym popołudniem. Autobus zatrzymał się na wzgórzu tuż obok pubu The Cock Horse In oraz przepięknego kościoła świętego Piotra i Pawła (Church of Saint Peter and Saint Paul) pochodzącego z XV wieku. Ten dom był inspiracją do stworzenia całej wios... read more
