It’s my first day in England - a business destination that will be mixed with a little pleasure. I am here for customer golf! The customer arranged for a taxi (BMW 520 for taxi?) from Airport Direct to pick us up (traveling with Po and Anne) at Heathrow. Within seconds, I recognized the driver’s accent. Sure enough, he is from Scotland … Gourock of all places. I used to spend a lot of time in Greenock, Gourock and Largs. So I had a nice chat with him as we headed southwest on Highway A3. He is a Celtics supporter and so not surprisingly, he does not know the most famous Scots out of Gourock - David Pickett. Well, We are back home now and Geoff is hobbling about..... purely a drink related incident back in France.... As you will see from my previous entry, we were staying in nice chalets with verandas overlooking the lake. It was our last night on the campsite and Geoff had drank a few (as you can imagine). He decided to race Adam back to the chalet at the end of the evening.... Adam decided to try and cheat and, instead of going up a few steps to our chalet, he cut through some shrubbery.....followed and overtaken by Geoff (got the picture so far?) so heute haben wir nicht mehr so viel gemacht.morgens von ati verabschiedet und noch mit gipsi und chris gassi gegangen ! dann um halb zwei ins auto und ab nach gatwick ! aufm weg noch ne pommes geholt und in gatwick eingecheckt. dann von chris verabschiedet und noch lange gewartet bis wir losgeflogen sind :/ !! war alles problemlos und wir hatten gutes wetter zum fliegen !! heute gings endlich nach London. heute morgen sind wir mit artie zum zug nach London. wir hatten jeder eine sehrpraktische karte womit wir ueberall rumfahren konnten. zuerst sind wir am big ben vorbeigeschlendert. dann haben wir uns kurz westminster abbey angeguckt und dann sind wir an der pferdeparade vorbeigegangen. danach haben wir einen spaziergang zum buckingham palace gemacht. dort war es sehr sehr voll, weil 5 minuten nach unser ankunft eine Parade losging. das war wirklich toll.die queen haben wir leider nicht zu gesicht bekommen. nach einem tuetchen chips sind wir zur u-bahn gelatscht und zur oxford street gefahren. da waren dann viele geschaefte. supi.
