Route: Aquerreta -Zariquiegui Today a bit longer (30 km approx.) than I have planned for my Camino, which is 25 km/day, in about 7.30 hours. A long day that took me through Pamplona where I was able to get a prepaid mobile line and get money out of cash machine. The mobile will keep me in touch with the outside world and will keep me in touch with the family. First day that I did not made reservations in a hotel. Somewhat later in the day in the middle of nowhere I found a "albergue" where I will be sleeping in a community room of about 8 people (bunkbed). That will keep me humble... German girl ended up in my bed and much ... read more

The guy who had packed 20Kg´s including a guitar, who didn´t make it out of St Jean Pied de Port without having an Arrested Development moment (I think I´ve made a huge mistake). The Norwegian guy I met at breakfast out of Roncevalles - breakfast for him being beer and a cigarette - this was his third camino too. The lady who´d already walked 700Km´s from Le Puy, but had damaged her achilles tendon and was going home. Tragic for her... but I have to admit to being grateful that I won´t run into her again on the trip... Is that mean? But generally ... read more
