After a long, restful sleep, the intrepid explorers awoke early to a fresh 3 degrees C morning...

We wandered downstairs to our free-of-charge breakfast. Turns out the Norwegians enjoy sardines and nutella-in-tubes, but we did manage to secure some wonderful coffee, toast and cereal. We strolled down to the fish market on the wharf and discovered a beautiful pewter and stirling silver jewellry store where we purchased some lovely objects.

We visited Bryggen, which we discovered is slowly but surely sinking into the ocean... (but evermore, what isn't?) Most of the buildings seemed to be shut up, we couldn't figure out if we were too early for opening hours or if they were under repair (many were on a fairly angry angle!)... The Bryggen museum was shut (again, too early...turns out these Norwegians enjoy sleeping in)

We hiked up the hill to Hakonshallen and Rosenkrantz Tarnet, which was very interesting - amazingly ancient architechture and some fantastic views of the mountains and harbour. Unfortunately, (AGAIN) it was too early to see the inside of these towers. We managed to find a cafe with the world's most expensive latte (41K - about AUD$9) where we're pretty sure the assistant told Michele she spoke Norwegian terribly!

We headed back to our humble for lunch (tomatoes and peanut paste on flour tortillas - hell yes!) then picked up Brianna (our long lost friend) from the Bus Station... We have spent the last 5 hours talking loudly and excitedly non-stop whilst untaking the following activities:

Now we're sitting around our room, chatting and thinking about getting all prettied up and going out dancing... But we may end up sleeping. Who knows...

Missing our friends and families heaps and heaps, but having a great time.
Love to one and all...

We're pretty sure this roughly translates to "Well Endowed Unicorn"
