Change of plans last minute...Professor sands and i, plus greg went to Brandon Mountain. Mr Sands had a rental car, so it was easy to get around. We stopped in Dingle to get a bite to eat, it was really good. We went to the Derrymore Strand of beaches, and we wanted to go to this one place called "Castle Gregory" because greg thought it was an actual castle. Nope, it was just another town haha.. We then made our way up through Brandon Mountain and Connors Pass. It was breathtaking once again... After our first few days on getting to know the area, and having class in the morning time(our only time of class on the entire trip) the professor planned a group trip to the Dingle Peninsula, led by the infamous Michael kissane (MAD MIKE!!!) I can not get over this guy.. he is absolutely terrible, and perverted.haha but it was funny. we nick named him MAD MIKE. So we started out in the bus going out of Tralee, towards the Dingle Peninsula. We stopped at a fabulous view of the Irish quilt(as people would say) In my opinion, this picture describes ireland exactly how i imagined it. Green/patchwork quilt. The town itself used to have a dolphin that I'm glad I didn't bother to see, and was pretty nondescript and touristy. But the surrounding countryside, including the Three Sisters, the ruins of monks' homes, and the rocky coastline, were beautiful enough for several movie sets. The Blasket Islands were even more stunning - perhaps the most beautiful part of Ireland - though I only landed on the uninhabited Great Blasket, whose normally wet climate gave us a break that day, being warm enough even to walk barefoot on the beaches.
