There are plenty of lovely beaches in South Thailand. I stayed in a beach hut right beside the beach on Koh Pha Ngan for a couple of weeks. It was on Ao Chalok Lam beach in the North of the island. I would certainly recommend that. It is an expecially good island to stay on if you are into full moon parties. If not, it is also a beautiful island to stay on.

Hi Shane,
I agree, Koh Phangan is great and has someting to offer for everyone.
For me, the most amazing beach on the island is Thong Nai Pan Noi.. i visit it on a regular basis and it has some of the best accommodations available in Thailand.
If you want more info, just surf the web and have a look at some websites about Koh Phangan like http://www.lonelyplanet.com/worldguide/thailand/ or http://www.phanganresorts.com/North_East_of_Koh_Phangan/
If you have more questions about the island, just let me know !

My wife and I went to Ko Chang a couple years ago and it was amazing! Warm, clear blue oceans in the gulf! Watched the sunset everynight from a raft in the ocean, gorgeous! Elephant riding, moped rides, etc. It's very accommadating, but low-key on the tourist side.... Reply to this
