first off, apologies to sam. for some reason i tend to say el scorcho quite alot at the moment, probably because im not great with the heat so must deal with it in a latino accent. see, that makes sense to me. oh, and if my grammar/spelling is rubbish here, its because this keyboard is mad.

anyway, im in munich, or munchen, as the germans hilariously call it. its a pretty damn cool little place id say, like everywhere else. we checked into our hostel after a 6 hour train from prague this morning (by the way, i had grilled chicken last night). train journey was good, we had a game of jones (like horse, but with jones instead of horse), i finished my 2nd book and saw some pretty good countryside. i totally recommend that book by the way, its called 'freakanomics', written by steve levitt. fascinating stuff. brilliante. arrived at munich, found hostel and checked in. the old guy at the reception is probably the coolest old guy ever, he's one of those guys that you know is just a genuinly brilliant person. or a secret vice girl murderer, i dont know. but yes, he's quality. room is quality, it has a tv, but i didnt come here to watch tv. i came here to blog! oh, john, you joker you. it's a hot day again, i really could do with a couple of days of cool, just so i dont have a stroke or anything like that. i dont get on with the sun.

already started thinking about travelling, and definitely in a smaller group next time, maybe even on my own. 4 people is too many i think, and the fact that people insist on 4 people rooms is beginning to infuriate me a bit. how are we supposed to meet anybody vaguely interesting if we're in our own little room?! it's boring, and a bit silly really, because its costing us money as well. we could have saved about 70quid on that so far i reckon. thats right, the economist in me is escaping. obviously a bit too quickly, as i just smacked my arm on the chair. ouch.

time to address something a bit emotional for me.

we were recently in prague, which is a place that i visited earlier in my time, with gemma. when me and gemma went, we found some small sweet items that were absolutely unique in their genius, wondrous in taste and in idea, and were generally something that we obsessed over. these things were called trdlos. i was extremely excited about eating a trdlo on my return, as it had been a long time since my last. i speak of them whenever prague is mentioned in any chat, so it was a big thing for me. needless to say, on arrival at prague, not trdlos could be found. anywhere.

heartbreaking.

ok, am leaving this one short, because my arm is seriously starting to hurt.
