I'm on a roll on this bus trip!! Second blog in a row on my phone! :) I just tried getting Ben to entertain me but it failed he "just wants to read" - boooringg!! I hope we are there soon! Anyway....travel day...Today was a very unexciting day as it was pretty much all travel! Thankfully we could sleep til 8am and shared some fresh fruit and pancakes with jam for breakie and a decent latte actually from the hotel :) very good start! We just had a delicious lunch so after writing this blog l shouldn’t be too hungry. Our motto is: “you have to eat so it might as well be good!” Cooking is like solving a puzzle, see what ingredients and spices go together and prepare it. The best part is eating it! Hubert and l love to cook together, we both have our designated cooking places and it works fine. He used to cook the meat (while we were still on Atkins diet) and l am the Spice Queen. Verbal Faux Pas are a part of learning any language. As you struggle to remember a word you replace that word in a sentance with anther word similar in spelling or sound because that is what your brain conjures up in order to fill the gap or the long silence. I have been working very hard at speaking spanish but with each new day as I learn a different tense of a verb, it takes me 3 times as long to say one sentance as I have to question exactly what tense I performed the action in. I believe there are more than 8 tenses in Spanish for one verb. So you can imagine my conversations in the morning with my host family as I try and tell a story, dictionary in hand.
