Marina Bay Sands Hotel is the newest tourist attraction in Singapore. I highly recommend this hotel for you to stay at because it is truly worth your money. It is a 5-Star hotel with such great amenities. You should try to swim at the Sky Park. Entrance fee at the Marina Bay Sky Park would cost you about 20 SGD but you cannot swim here unless you are a hotel guest. A room would normally cost you 400 SGD, but it does not include complimentary breakfast. Marina Bay Sands Hotel is located at Marina Bay Center. You can do a walking tour of the scenic spots like the City Hall, Raffles Place, Marina Bay, Promenade and Esplanade, Bayfront Bridge and Singapore Flyer. They also have the biggest convention center beside Marina Bay where you can find ... read more

Filipinos don't realize just how beautiful Mindanao is. When Mindanao comes to mind, one word immediately pops out: WAR. Even if the news only headlines provinces like Jolo, Sulu and Basilan, most 'Pinoys' plan trips as far away from Mindanao as they can, thus ignoring the hidden and sometimes even exposed beauty of this southern island. I have been to different places in Mindanao and I had fun going there. One of my favorite places in Mindanao is Dakak Resort in Zamboanga Del Norte. When you enter the resort, you will be welcomed by their hotel staff who are incredibly friendly and impressively efficient. Other than having great service, the resort also boasts an amazing white sand beach. It also offers fine food. My only concern is that the hotel needs to upgrade its Wifi facilities ... read more

Thunderbird Poropoint Resorts is one of the most luxurious hotels here in the Philippines. Its Grecian style building set amidst a golf course, and casino are both truly breathtaking. It is the perfect getaway for honeymooners, group of friends or families who are looking for the beautiful architecture in Santorini as well as the glitzy gamerooms in Vegas. However, there really isn't much to do around the area but swim by the pool or surf at the beach. The main purpose of this resort is to play Casino. The food at the Olives is appetizing, and I advise you to order their Steak because it is quite superb. The hotel has a nice view of the beach and the room amenities are excellent. The service by the staff was efficient and outstanding. You will really have ... read more

My first time travelling alone - without parental supervision - was when I turned 15. I went to Boracay, the summer capital of the Philippines. I was beyond excited; feeling all independent and grown-up, and I felt really happy that the people I got to travel with were my super close cousins. I enjoyed my stay at Boracay because of the white beach. It has the best beach in the world. The sand in Boracay is purely white and fine, and the water is cool and not that deep. If you love to party then this is the perfect place for you. "Bora", as most partygoers call it, hosts some of the grandest and glitziest parties in the country. Aside from partying, there are so many water sports that you can also try like Scuba Diving, ... read more

It was my first time to go to Calauit Game Reserve and Wildlife Sanctuary in Coron, Palawan. Going to Calauit Island from Coron will take you about 3 hours by car and an hour by boat. When you enter the island, you will walk a two kilometer dirt road before you get to enter the main tourist spot. Then you will get to ride on a safari jeep to go near the animals. You can feed the long-necked giraffes with leaves from trees and take pictures with them. You will be amazed by the black and white striped zebras in a horde that can be viewed from afar. The first time I saw them was when I was in the zoo where they were in cages. You will be astonished by this experience because you can ... read more

It was my first time to go to Busuanga, Palawan, which most of us Filipinos know as part of Coron. I didn't know what was ahead of me when I went there. And I can say that I was so amazed by the beautiful city of Busuanga. My family stayed at Busuanga Island Paradise, which gave us quality service and a nice ambiance. This resort is far from the town center. It is just 15 minutes away and you need to ride a van or jeep in order to get to the city. The resort is not also by the beach front. I had a lot of fun in our stay in Busuanga. I had so much fun when my family and I went island hopping. An island tour would cost about 2,500 Pesos per person ... read more

Asia » Philippines » Baguio June 27th 2010

Last August 2009, my family and I went to Baguio City, which is located at the northern part of the Philippines. We did not go to the usual tourist spots there such as Mines View, Camp John Hay and Burnham Park since we have already visited those places many times before. What made this Baguio trip special was our stay at the Baguio Country Club. Apart from their excellent facilities, this place is where you can find good food. When you get a chance to go there, I recommend that you try their delectable pastries; raisin bread and ensaymada. Sumptous breakfast is served, and they also offer buffet during dinner time. I also recommend Hamada, a Japanese Restaurant inside the country club where the chefs cook on-the-spot and right in front of you. Baguio Country Club ... read more

Asia » Philippines » Albay » Legazpi City June 26th 2010

It was Holy Week when my family went to Legazpi, Albay. It is the home of the famous Mayon Volcano, known for its perfect cone. I had a great feeling that this trip to Albay would be so fun because I was with my relatives. We first went to the Cagsawa Ruins, where we met a kid who knew how to take good pictures. We paid the kid 100 pesos or $2 to take our pictures. After that we went to the adventure park in Albay. This is where you can find the famous Zipline. It is very cheap and you will get a chance to look at the breathtaking view of the city of Legazpi. Another thing you can do in Albay is ride an ATV and take an adventure trip to the Mayon Volcano. ... read more
