Ben juist terug. Het was koud maar meest droog. Zowel in Ierland als in Schotland en Shetland klaagden de mensen dat het voor de tijd van het jaar te koud was. Wanneer de zon in Shetland even doorkwam dan was het gelijk"warm"graad of 14 maar zonder zon en met wind was 10 graden al lekker

Bora and Soup!
When the Bora comes (a very strong wind from Trieste) the weatehr can go very crazy and everything gets blown around!!! And people have to hold on to each other!!! Also Friuli has many soups, you'll have to come back and try Jota, the frugal sauerkraut and bean soup from the hills above Trieste or the Minestrone alla Friulana con Orzo (barley, which we use a lot of) or Sòpe di Uàrdi e Urtìes (Barley and Nettle Soup) or the Friulan version of goulash or paparot (spinach soup). Bologna, la grassa, will have various soups too! I'm not a huge soup person but I think they have various with ham, potato, beans, tomatoes etc...... You could do a soup tour next time! Un giro d'Italia di zuppe!!!! By the way, did you try the prosciutto di San Daniele? My favourite! How's Belgrade?

Yes Cees I realise that if I want to go to all places I want and some of them to revisit I still needs lots of life. Perhaps even a second one, No I don t talk about Maffia. You dont talk in Myanmar about the generals in power either. But if you have a good look around you see very interesting things. Hope Dana does not like the sailing so much that she wants to do her own sailing tour around the world.Have fun in the Netherlands.

Hi Bert, Last night thunderweather, not realy very bad, but, that's normal here, all elecricity went off and of course the telephone . And this country is one of the important EEG countries! Mouse "shit" if that 's all there is! Did not know you was such charming! "Old" blog and an old lady! Have been there a couple of weeks on Sicilie, you don't talk about the maffia! Maria Dlores is veeeeery fast indeed! Must be exiting meeting her Did you take in account How many life's you need if want to fullfil al your dreams to go back for a longer time to all the interesting places! Next week we go to the Netherlands for Dana is going to do a sailing course; because I mean every dutch girl, and also boys, need to know the basics of sailing! Although we normaly deliberate this kind of decisions, but she was not realy amused to do this; so I decided. but I'm shure that within a splitsecond she will enjoy. Have fun and take care, Cees

Godfried, Voor mij was Sicilie eigenlijk meer de reis naar Malta.Ik ben in Messina geweest leuke stad natuurlijk veel kerken.Palermo heb ik alleen maar geslapen maar volgende week ben ik in Catania en ga o.a. met een treintje rond hoe heet die Vulkaan, Etna?Maar het is zeker de moeite van een trip waard kom hier touristen tegen die echt 3 weken bezig zijn het is een mooi groot eiland en heeft natuurlijk een verleden waarin nogal wat gebeurd is.Heb nog geen familie van Tony Soprano ontmoet

An historical trip
Dear Bert, Like your writing exercises very much and hope you will continue. must be great moment to be for a while in the "neighbourhood" of Napoleon. An other day I met a dutch lady in France, she is experienced in foreign languages. She told me that Frech students with a University degree in English, compared with dutch students with English in their study "pakket" on HAVO llevel are speaking English much better as their French University degreed colleagues !! In the meantime we know of the deception Spain/Holland hope the beer was Heineken and could help you a bit feeling not to bad. Take care Cees

Hai Bert, Makes you feel a rich man ,in many ways, if you see young people who can't spend enough money to buy a complete bikini set. That's a real worry. by the way i did n't know that theter was a reletion between espresso and cholestorol, only know the relation with the nerves. Enjoy your stay as well ;as your trip.
