Arrived July 26th in Aberdeen from Inverness with the afternoon train. North Link ferry is on a short distance from the station. Reasonable big ferry.
Just found out that the ferry calls also Orkney. The place I left yesterday.
Met an english writing student on his trip to Orkney. Guy was funny to talk with. Missing three front teeth what did not help to speak clearly. Was about 140 kg and 1.70 m tall .He had seen all Aberdeen and was just making the first color picture he could make in that town. A black and yellow ship.
All Aberdeen is completely grey.
Arrived after 14 hours trip with the ferry early morning Lerwick on The Shetland isles.Could not check in the hotel yet and took my first day tour. Only one tourist beside me and the driver/guide/owner Allen.
Good view of the western side of the main island. Walked over the hills in the middle of sheep shit, and lots of it..
Had dinner in the Shetland hotel. Volume was better than taste.
Had a Shetland beer and an Orkney, Highland Park, Whisky.
