I'm sitting in another, cheaper internet cafe (although the difference between 50 and 55 cents is minimal) while I wait to meet with someone from the American School who will get me set up teaching English. Hello there! Just to let everyone who was worried know that I arrived in Bishkek completely safely, with no trouble at all. The taxi driver who got me from Almaty was even kind enough to take me home to his wife for tea before driving me to Bishkek; I must have looked absolutely exhausted at 5 am! I am trying to get the hang of a French keyboard again, so please bear with any mistakes. I can't imagine what Kyrgyz keyboards will be like... I am on my second day in Rouen, and am enjoying it muchly. But first will just explain the remaining pics from London. It has been a crazy two weeks or so. I spent some time running around Ontario visiting friends and family, and generally having lots of fun. I managed to see all but one of the family "up north"! And I got my first ever view of Niagara Falls; isn't that ridiculous? Growing up four hours away from one of the great wonders of the world and only seeing it at the age of 24? In another 15 hours or so I'll be airborne and heading for Boston and then Buffalo and finally St Catherine's... Craziness. So goodbye to the Rockies and the Wild West for a couple of months. It has been a crazy last few weeks and I can't wait to see everyone out Canada-way! I haven't been all that interesting over the last little while, concentrating on homework and moving and packing and all that, but I did manage to get in a visit to Greeley (where Mom and Dad live, for those of you who don't know).
