Well here we are - full-circle!! After 14,000+ kms and a month of travelling around North America, we are back home here in Kitchener, ON. We are grateful for 1) safety as we travelled all those miles! Thank You, Lord!; 2) for beautiful sunshine every day when we were on the road travelling, except this past Thursday morning (when it rained for a couple of hours). Thank You, Lord! and 3) for all the special people, places and attractions we were able to visit. It has been an awesome experience! Thank You, Lord! And what can we say about our blogger? Home Sweet Home!

Hi everyone!! Sad news to report!! My masters really just had a restful day so there is no more pictures from them to show. But tonight while they were at supper, I removed my bootie from my foot and proceeded to lick and chew my sore spot! I really did a number on it - going rather deep! My master had to put his first aid skills into practice and bandage my foot as you can see from the photo! I don't know why I do this - I just can't help myself - it must be my doggie nature!! I'm [View Full Entry]

Greetings from Bath, NY! Well, here we are in the lower part of New York just over the border from Pennsylvania. And here we are back seeing snow on the ground! Not much yet, but we anticipate more before long--maybe tonight! We stopped in Mechanicsville, PA so my masters could have lunch with a friend of Sharon's, Dorothy Gish and her friend. They ate at Hoss's Steak & Sea (as for me, I had my bowls of usual stuff in the car)! For those of you old enough to remember Hoss, he was one of the sons on Ponderosa! Hoss Cartwright! Hey everyone: How has your day gone today? Mine was kinda quiet as I enjoy the surroundings of our motel room. Well not quite, the folks took me with them when they went to Cracker Barrel for breakfast. Then they met Sharon's friend, Carrie Taylor at Wycliffe northeast regional offices. After Carrie gave them a tour, they were off to a place called Intercourse! Sorry, but that is what the place is called! She took them to see a pretzel making factory. The tour guide said all of their pretzels were hand-made. The fastest staff member could make 18 a minute, [View Full Entry]

Howdy y'all! Well we had quite a day of driving today! We left Waxhaw, NC at 8:30 am and arrived here in Lancaster, PA at 7:30 pm, with a one hour stop in Hillsville, Virginia. Now follow this closely - we went from North Carolina through South Carolina, back into North Carolina, then into Virginia, then into West Virginia, then into Maryland and finally into Pennsylvania! We were going through states so fast that we weren't even able to get welcome signs for most of them - just Pennsylvania! The folks had lunch with Becky Harrison, who had served with Sharon [View Full Entry]

Hi y'all, Well not a very big report tonight! My master and I just "hung around" this morning, while the ladies went to visit and have coffee with Barb Blackburn who had worked at Nasuli when Sharon was the librarian there. Then after lunch we went to visit Joe and Marilyn Waddington, who Sharon had worked with in Manila. Then my masters and the host and hostess went out for supper at Pier 51, a seafood restaurant. While being inexpensive, they served a very good dinner to all of us. As per usual, I remained at the Beltz home keeping Daryl's [View Full Entry]

Happy Easter everyone! Today the folks went to church at Second Baptist Church, in Lancaster, S.C. Then they were invited out to the home of Mike and Kathy Smith. Wow, what a dinner! Steak, baked potatoes, salad and key lime pie, with some chocolate cherry cake thrown in! I had to stay home but it looks like by the pictures that a little black dog tried to make friends with Eric and as you can see, pictures don't lie! Should I be jealous? Then it was home for a relaxing afternoon and evening. Not sure of all of the plans for [View Full Entry]

Second Baptist Church - Lancaster, ·SC - not sure what happened to First Baptist!!
Hey where did that little imp come from? And right up on my master

Hi everyone: Well we arrived in Waxhaw, NC this afternoon. And our hosts and hostess, Daryl & Leshia had planned a get-together with 18 of Sharon's former colleagues from Wycliffe Bible Translators. JAARS is the technical operation centre for those involved in the areas of communications (i.e. computers, etc.), maintenance and aviation programs. It operates training for those heading to overseas assignments for the first time and also recurrancy training for members heading back to their overseas assignments. This is also home to some historical museums for the organization, too. It was great for Sharon to see some of her friends [View Full Entry]

First shot of yours truly!
Cheerful face along the way!
Welcome to North Carolina

Bonjour mes amis: Maintenant je suis un chien francais! NOT!! We had a good day today. My masters got us on the road around 7:30 AM after eating the motel-provided breakfast! We stopped for gas and then began our journey north, which will eventually take us home. Other than noticing our northward direction by the map and road signs, one of the three of us is beginning to notice that she is feeling the cooler weather. I'll leave it up to you to decide who that one of our group is! After a stop at a Florida Citrus Centre, we arrived [View Full Entry]

Well - hello everyone! It was the day of the game - the ballgame that is! Blue Jays vs Yankees! Actually my masters told me it wasn't much of a game! If you watched it, you know the outcome! My masters left in the 7th inning, to get ahead of the traffic. They said it was great to be part of the excitement of Knology Park. It was a sold out game and parking is very under provided for! Every lawn, driveway and other open land was being "sold" at $10.00 a pop! Dunedin really does it up big - police [View Full Entry]
