wonderful pictures - it's great to put faces with names you've mentioned - don't forget to take some of tina and nacho - and karen may want to get in on the action, too!! ha.
oops! I'm sure you wondered if I had read your entry. I did and then executed a typo. I knew you said 18 days, but my fingers decided to do something else.
It sounds like your experience is getting better every day.
the little things What a delightful report. I trust that you're keeping a journal of the "little things." I think you are very wise to realize that the little things very often are those things which have the greatest impact on our lives. They may not be the most exciting at the time, but in the span of life they have "mucho" (my only effort at Spanish) influence.
I remember when your daddy was a tiny baby we stopped at my aunt's house. She lived in Roanoke and we were on the way to Pop M's mother house for her to see Jim for the first time.
I noticed how polite my aunt was to her two children and I asked her about it. Her reply, I believe, had a greater impact on my "mothering" than anything I encountered. She said, "My children are the most important people who come into this house. Surely, I would as polite to them as I am to any guest."
Have a great last week or so.

Last night, I also had a shrimp taco! I got it at Chicora Alley, though. Thanks for the shout-out about fruit. I love pineapple as well. I hope the rest of your time there is great, and tell Leslee I said hi!

pineapple I'm sure eating the "real" thing before it has been processed is quite an experience. You'll have to describe the difference when we see you. The peaches and ice cream sounds a little familiar. Like peach yogurt, maybe?
acupulco trip That trip sounds great. I'm glad you're having such a great experience. You'll have lots to tell when you get home. The bar trips sound interesting. Are they anything like the bars in the USA?
Give yourself a hug.
ice cream I bet your daddy would like that ice cream since he's such a rice pudding fan.
Let me know how your Mexico City trip goes.
Are you finding that God is doing what you hoped He would do as far as finding direction and purpose in your life?
Buying stuff I know how you felt. When we went to England I was anticipating the trip to the country side. You know. the vine covered cottages and stone walls. Well, the group stayed in Oxford so long going through shops that we didn't get a change to take the countryside trip. I really wanted to leave the group and go on my own, but Pop M said that would not be wise, so I just sat in my seat all the way to where we staying trying not to cry.
I guess that was silly, but buying things was not what I went to England to do. God bless you!
