Hey guys, Hope you are all well, On Monday we went to Milford Sounds which was an awesome day. On the way there we stopped at the mirror lakes which is basically a lake that reflects all the mountains that are inh the background and is really pretty. We also saw a few more glaciers which were pretty cool. We then got to Milford sounds and took a boat ride through the area - we had a buffet lunch wjhere we ate like we had never eaten before and then went to see all the beautiful scenary. It was pretty amazing - we also saw dolphins and seals and went to an underwater viewing station to see the black coral and marine life there. The dolphins literally followed the boat and there were loads of them ... read more

Hey Guys, We've been so super busy over the last couple of weeks we haven't had time t stop and get on the internet! If we start where we left off we woke up in Wellington the next morning with a banging headache and major hangover so didn't crawl out of bed til midday. We got up slowly and had some lunch before visiting the Te Papa Museum which was really fun and free! The most amazing thing was a collossal squid they had preserved there. It was really freaky! We watched a film in the evening, The Proposal, it was really good and hd the fitty Ryan Reynolds in it. The Next day we packed up again and headed off to the South Island. The ferry took 3 hours which gave us some good sleeping ... read more

Hey guys - Hope you are all good, We have not updated in a while and have done loads so it is not going to be to detailed. The next day we went to Auckland musuem which was a really nice walk through parks and the in the museum you learned a lot about Maori people which was really interesting. In the evening we watched movies and chilled with a few people we had met on the tour of Auckland - we are trying to save money hence not going out. The next day was the first day on the kiwi bus. We met everyone and they are a really nice group. We went to see Mt Eden which is a volcano and has really good veiws of the city from it. We then took a ... read more

Hey Guys, So we're in the land of the kiwi now but i'll catch you up from where we left off the day after rafting. Thursday was not a good day. We visited the doctor because Grace needed to see one, turns out she's fine- obviously not the reason it was a bad day! I have a head rash hahaha so i had to get expensive shampoo which smells awful and i can't use conditioner and i can't use anything else! So that made me sad and smelly. we then went to the beach for the morning but it was too windy so we had to leave. We then got on a bus to Cairns which should have took 2 hours but took 4.5 because we stopped at a croc farm which grace and i didn't ... read more

Hey Guys, Well for those who were concerned- We survived it!! We had the most amazing day, the weather was gorgeous the water was clear and the river was violent!! We started off this morning nice and early by getting kitted up. We hired some rather attractive sandals and had to wear a nice yellow life jacket and red helmet- we looked special! we made our way down to the river where we were put into groups and introduced to our guide Karen. After a quick safety chat we started on our first rapids- he alarm clock rapids, so named because they wake you right up. It was rough but our guide was good and we managed not to fall out to much. On the next few rapids Sophie got a nice set of bruises on ... read more

Hey guys, Hope you are all ok. On Friday we traveled to Magnetic Island. It is paradise there. It is an island just of the mainland that has beautiful scenery, lovely beaches and the most gorgeous weather. Our hostel was right on the beach with a pool and bar both looking out onto it. We went and sunbathed straight away and then started to get ready for the full moon party which they only celebrate on the island and no where else in Oz. Weird. We spent the first half of the evening chilling in our room with two guys from LA and another random girl and drinking goon and beer and then went out to dance at the party. We met absolutely loads of people we knew there and spent the whole night floating from ... read more

Hey Guys, We're back from our sailing trip and we had an amazing time. We set off on Monday on Tongarra, our boat, armed with a case of beers! We spent the first afternoon just sailing out and we stopped in a bay for the night where we watched the sunset. We had a gorgeous dinner of fish and mashed potato with bread and grace got chicken so she was happy. We had a drink and got to meet everyone. That night we slept on the deck. They put a cover over and we set up our beds. It was surprisingly cosy. We got woken up before sunrise because the tides meant we were in a rush to get to Whitehaven Beach. We got up and had a luxurious breakfast including fruit, cereal and tea and ... read more

Hey guys, Th next morning we woke up and travlled to Kroombit, a cattle station in the middle of nowhere. we didn't really want to stop here as it was taking time out of travelling that we didn't really have but we actually ended up having a really good time. When we arrived we had lunch and then we bth took a ride in a 4x4 with the owner of the property. we saw wild deer and wild horses as well as a massive python which was blocking the road.when we got back they took us to do a goat rodeo. In groups of 3 we had to catch, flip over and pin down a goat for a pretend branding. The quickest group won. we came third which was pretty good considering how fat our goat ... read more

When we arrioved at surfers we got a room wityh Helen and Liz, a couple of girls from surf camp and sorted ourselves out. In the night there was a severe weather warning and 4 people died in the storms, lucky we escaped unharmed :) The next day we decided to explore the town and had a mooch around the shops and bought some pressies. Surfers paradise is built to take yoiur money so it's not well suited to travellers. It's like LA or Miami in as in high rise buildings right next to the ... read more
