Today was my second day at the dive shop... yea!!! But first... last night I went on a late afternoon dive, and by the time I got back to the shop all the other interns had gone home except for my roommate Nick who was out on a night dive. Everyone seems to write an article about what they packed with them. Im more concerned with what I didnt bring. Mostly because it all seems to be spread out among the east coast. I arrived on Roatan last night. It was dark so all i got to really see was the house. ... Might have done better if it was dark in the house too. There are only 2 girls right now doing the internship, and I havent met the other one yet. She is house sitting for one of the instructors while he's in the US, so its just me and 7 guys in what can only be described as the frat house from Animal House. Well I've just given myself typhoid. Went to the travelers medical center today (over in Foggy Bottom, quite nice) and got the rundown on all the vaccines the CDC suggests. They even provide a handbook you can read to give yourself nightmares. Its a hypochondriacs wet dream! So I got a prescription for malaria pills, got an oral vaccine for typhoid, and contemplated getting the Hepatitis A shot (told myself if I get hepatitis A, and my mother finds out I didn't get the vaccine I can just imagine her saying nope sorry not visiting you in the hospital you did [View Full Entry]

So in 12 days I'll be flying to Roatan... in 12 days... well i'll be gross and exhausted, so in 13 days i'll be sipping rum on a tropical island watching the sun set over a beautiful blue sea Jealous yet?
