We were so tired last night from all that walking yesterday followed by the mental aggravation of getting lost in Minneapolis we fell fast asleep after relaxing a bit playing Scrabble. I think I was asleep before my head even hit the pillow and boy did I sleep good. There was no sleeping late this morning for sure ! I was up at the crack of dawn and I was so excited I even made Tim a pot of coffee. Yuck ! I wasn’t quite sure how far Albert Lea, Minnesota was from the Mall of America but I knew we were at least in the same state so we had to be within a few hours or so. Oh my goodness the alarm went off sooooo early this morning ! We decided to entirely ignore it so Tim just hit the snooze button and we rolled over and went back to sleep. That’s the most wonderful thing about being on a road trip, there’s no set time for anything and you don’t really have to get up until you want to. No phones, tv’s, doorbells, video games, barking dogs, lawnmowers, screaming kids or anything to wake you, you just kinda get up whenever you feel like it. When we woke up in Brainerd, Minnesota this morning I just knew it was going to be a scorcher of a day. It was already 60 degrees and it was only 9:00 am., shoot it might make it all the way to 70 today ! LOL ! Now that all the rain is gone, we are really enjoying this cool weather. We were sleeping sooooo good last night up here in Marquette when we were abruptly awaken by the rocking of the motor home. Oh my goodness, I thought it was a tornado ! I said to myself, we’re in Michigan not Kansas, what the heck is going on. Tim got up to investigate and happily reported to me that it was just the winds coming in off of Lake Superior and boy was I glad. After a long and completely exhausting day yesterday, we could only hope that today would be better. We both slept good last night but we woke up this morning at the Montreal South KOA to a very cold, dark and cloudy day. I will have to say that we have definitely had the craziest twenty days of weather I’ve ever experienced in my life. Oh my, is that the sun I see shining in the sky ? Yes it is ! YAY ! I’m telling you it’s a miracle we don’t have pneumonia or something. I know you can’t see me right now but I am totally doing The Birthday Dance ! Today is my 39th birthday and I just know it’s going to be a wonderful day. Well, it’s back to the instant oatmeal with fresh blueberries for us ! Although one of those fresh glazed donuts from Tim Hortons would be good this morning and I’m sure Tim would love to stop and get a hot cup of coffee. We were up bright and early this morning so that we could call the local Ford Dealership as soon as they opened.
