Enough of the snakes ... OK, I'm with ya on the snakes! However, I can't help but laugh at the image in my head of you running back to that motorhome! Tim asked if you got a picture of the snake yesterday, I want to know why Tim didn't get a pic of your ass and elbows running back to the motorhome!!
Glad you enjoyed your stay By the pictures you posted, it looks like you had a fantastic trip on the Snake River in Hells Canyon! Butch and Mitch definitely treat their clients right on those River Quest trips. Stopping at their lodge is always a treat, and you got to share apricots with the deer - BONUS!
If you wander back through our area, please be sure to hollar -we'd love to say Hi, down at the Visitors Bureau Office in Clarkston :)
Travel safely -

Loving reading the blog! So glad you guys are blogging the trip. It's fun reading and I'm forwarding it to my mom and Robby!! Have a blast and be safe ... and Tim: Don't let Candy drink and drive!!!
No wonder you developed a headache! What an itinerary! You folks sure hit all the hot spots in northern NM and I don't mean just Los Alamos! Sorry that the altitude got to you, it does that to lots of folks. Water, water, water and more water always helps. Thanks for sharing your enjoyment of our area and happy trails on future journeys!
You know I hate it that i'm not with you :-( But I know you are having a great time and enjoying your time together. Just remember, next year Alaska here we come.
When I get to certain point in my life, I've decided to try and do something just like you guys are doing. Love being able to ride with you two, keep trucking!
Isn't that an awesome drive through NM and into Colo? We have a small piece of property in La Veta, CO, near Walsenburg, so we've taken that trip a few times starting in El Paso. Glad you stopped to see the gorge. We actully drove that road in in blinding snow storm on one trip. It was so bad that I had to stick my head out the car window just to see the side of the road and keep us on track! Scary!
Save the Date ! I really wish we could have seen you guys before we left but I guess there will be plenty of time when we get back. We're gonna try and have a BIG party for my 40th and Tim's 50th when we get back, maybe August 14th, so "save the date" for now ! Love you !! :-)
Glad you're enjoying the blog ! I'm missing walking already but we are getting some exercise going to all these museums and things so I'm not completely worthless. Once we get "out West" we hope to be able to ride some bike trails and get some exercise out there if it's not too hot. I'm serious about the pool so hit the girls up and make sure there's no parties going on and feel free to enjoy ! Miss ya, hugs !!
Miss You !! You have no idea how much we wish you were with us !! Tim's shoulder is already hurting and he needs a massage BAD plus, you know I stink at directions so he needs his co-pilot too. Hope all is well back at home. We're gonna try to have a BIG party for my 40th and Tim's 50th when we get back, probably August 14th so "save the date". Love you !!!
On the road again!!! Love that you all are on the road again. After this year I'm sure you will have marked off most (if not all) of those 1000 places in the book. Sorry that I missed that trip to the Elvis homeplace (NOT)!!! Actually I've been there before and it was NOT the highlight of my trip. Have fun, be safe and I love you two!!
Love the blog! So glad you guys are off to a good start ... finally! Have a blast and we'll enjoy keeping up with your travels through the blog. Got your note about the permit coming in the mail ... maybe that was the reason you were meant to be delayed getting on the road :) Hugs to you both!
