Well busking seems to be not-so-bad after all! I must say that the Oxford crowd are much more enthusiastic than the one in the London tube- especially seeing as they are all drunk and happy! :) (It was the weekend). I busked for 2 nights in total and a little during the day and made a grand total of £100, which paid for all my accommodation, food and I still have £20 more in my wallet than when I came here! I'm reading a book called The Wind Up Bird Chronical at the moment in which the main character spends most of his time living down a well for reasons of reflection... I found myself in a similar situation today, only on the top of a medieval mound. Kind of the opposite, but the same. Well, after a lifetime of thinking that Luxembourg was the capital of Sweden or some such rubbish, I've now discovered that it is, in fact a tiny wee country stuck in between France, Belgium and Germany! My GOD... did I mention that Oktoberfest was in faCT A Yöbtoberfest? Well, I would like to upgrade that to ÜBER-LORD-OF-ALL-YÖBFESTs!!! #PHEW!# So much has happened since the last time I blogged! We have absolutely GUNNED it halfway across Europe and kind of tried to pack as much into the short amount of time we've had as possible! In my mind, it's not the ideal speed at which to travel, but we're not the ones making the decisions- and it has been a good taster for future trips, anyway! Hey all! I've just come in off the streets after busking in downtown Ljubljana- Slovenia's capital. For a small city, it's a surprisingly happening place! Saturday morning saw hundreds of people wandering around the town square- buskers, people going to the markets, cafes...etc. Hence the good opportunity to drag out Lila and have a play! I made about 2000 tolar- about $15- which it pretty good for here where everything is pretty cheap. I saw a drumkit for the first time in over 2 months the other day- being played PROPERLY too! Just got into Austria after a crappy 3 hour doze overnight in Stansted airport. I busked in the London underground for 3 hours last night near the parliament houses and Big Ben. I only made one lousy pound, but the acoustics were great! And no coppers bugging me either!
