Hi all! Just come back from a trip to Lapland, in a place called Yllas. Was beautiful. The snow was amazing and we also went husky sleding which was cool. I started the drive then Colin took overhalf way through. Here are a few pics. Don't really have too much to add to it as it was a week of skiin and one afternoon of husky driving. :D xxxxx... read more
So a year has passed from my AMAZING trip around Europe, and i have been getting very itchy feet, needing to travel again. My in June, my boyfriend Colin and I decided last minute to take a trip to Egypt as i have wanted to go there for so many years. So we booked a holiday to the lesser know area of Hurghada on the coast within reasonable distance to Luxor. The week was lovely as we went on the beach, explored just outside the hotel, went snorkeling in the Red Sea, but unfortunately half way into the week Colin comes down with D&V and so the trip to Luxor is hanging in the balance. Desperate to see what i hve always wanted to see, i run around trying to get tablets for him to make ... read more
Well, what can i say!? I had an amazing time on this tour and i so badly want to go back and do it all again. Been back a couple of days but literally crashed out as its the first time i had stopped in about 2 months! After Auschwitz we went to Austria where we visited the Palace and it rained so hard it was actually quite funny. We then moved onto the Czech Republic. Germany was interesting as we visited Dresden which was actually nothing like i expected and i really enjoyed it, however the next stop was Berlin. Now i don't really know how to sum up Berlin except to say i found it dull and boring, and like Plymouth, it is literally just a concrete city. Saying that however, once finished with ... read more
Hello again, Wow today was emotional. We went to Auchwitz on our way to Krakow which was so so moving, I picked up a pebble from in there, our tour leader said its a good idea to get one and then when your feeling that life is tough just roll it in your hand and remember that 11 million people died in these camps in the most horrifc way you can think of - but worse. The hardships they incurred are too much to even contemplate. While you are walking around, you try your best to imagine these people walking around here, the public executions, the beatings and working conditions, people being eaten alive as they slept ... its too overwhelming. There was 2 tonnes of hair in one room, then in another was all their ... read more
We went to Gallipoli today. Wow it was emotional! We went to visit the graves at Ari Burnu, saw Anzac cove and walked in the trenches! i must have cried about 3 times today. We went to the museum and saw lots of different types of guns and grenades, tools, food, uniform etc but what hit me most was the skulls. Until that point there had been just objects belonging to men who had died, that was emotional enoguh but to stand there literally face to face with one of these poor men, with one still having the bullet in the middle of his forehead - wow, it was just very upsetting. All i could think was that this poor man was somebodys son, probably husband or father. At the end of the day he lost ... read more
Hello, Wow this place was amazing, and i didnt even know it existed! These pics are of the monasteries on cliff tops! A couple of brothers in the 11th century went up into the cliff tops to escape the conflict happening at the time and to be secluded. The views from this place are amazing! Had a fairly early night and went to bed. byee xxx... read more

Well hello again everyone! Ok, so last time i wrote on here i was in Barcelona. Since then ive been to Venice, Monaco and the leaning tower of Pisa! Venice was ok but i think i expected too much of it and so was a little bit of a let down. Monaco was gorgeous and had some amazing yachts and views aswell. Went to Monaco Casino - everyone got dressed up and i bought a new dress which fit me perfectly as though made to my measurements! had a toga party and stayed in cabins whilst in Antibes and met a very sweet group of American men who were so funny and gorgeous and happened to be our neighbours! Went to the leaning tower yesterday which was amazing! Today we had a look around Florence and ... read more
