Just look at the world around you... right here on the ocean floor! It's one of the scariest things to start but can also end up being one of the most exhilarating. I've done 27 dives and still get nervous before each dive. That's the fun and excitement of it all. I've never seen an octopus. Yay you!
Buoyancy is one of the trickiest skills to master. I can only suggest trying to use your breath the majority of the time, and not your BCD. You'll get it. So proud of ya Netter.
See if you can spot a Christmas Tree Worm. They're my favourite. (you can google image search it to see what I'm talking about). They're cool. If you snap your finger beside them, they disappear into their holes...or something.
Keep at it babe.
Good luck with the Diving! That Padi book is lots of fun ;)
Can't wait to hear about your experiences diving.
Once you're certified, we'll have to take excursions together... even if it's only to Tobermory. :P
two-thousand and eighttt! there sure are a lot of hot mamas on that ship!
you lucky lady- new years looks like it was a blast
a bunch of centaurians dressed it up here in the city as well...
heres to a great 2008!
love, a.
Netters!! Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!! I've been moving and doing the holiday thing and getting wild news, BUT I'VE MISSED YOU! Glad you're healthy again. You ARE so lucky - and your stories are my escape at my lunch time. :) I know what you mean about jellyfish - i swam with them many times this past summer in the Black Sea and my boyfriend would pick them up all the time and I thought he was NUTS! He says the clear ones are safe - the ones with colours are poisonous, so be wary.
Your trip to the Emerald Pool is beyond words. I think I would want my soul to live somewhere very similar to that place...and don't you look so cute in the waterfall!!!
Love you, miss you, be well! :)
We missed you Christmas eve!! Hello Nettie.....we missed you lots on Christmas eve. Our Christmas Cantata was wonderful and the gathering afterwards great, but definitely not the same without you......next year!! We've been doing lots of wining and dining and I'm sick of eating and cooking. This aft. was pretty outside with the snow gently falling....it seemed so peacefully and calming. I can't believe another year it only 29 1/4 hrs away. Have a cup or two of cheer for us.
Happy New Year.......hugs and kisses.........Love your Auntie
We also play the Dolly/Kenny CD non-stop at Christmas.
Doesn't really feel like Christmas when away huh? I've been thinking a lot about this lately and will write it in a letter to you that I shall begin very soon. Still have yet to receive the one that's in the mail. Looking forward to it!
Reggaeton It's even better when you know what the songs are saying. DIRTY! My favourite? "Noche de Sexo"... yep, that's right, "Night of Sex". it's worse when 6 year olds know all the words! Just part of their culture I suppose.
Buenas Suerte mi amiga!
Beauty of Nature Sounds amazing babe. Gorgeous photos. Love the tree pose one. So glad you're enjoying the amazingness that is Nature and all it has to offer.
totally ironic, as Stacey Leung was just asking last night how you were and I said you were great and having a wonderful time according to your blogs. Oh dear Netter. Sorry to hear that it left you feeling deflated. I hope that you now feel a sense of rejuvination. Glad that you are okay.
Glad to hear diving went well too! They actually took you on a dive the first time? Did you do your skills first? Totally missing diving. Don't worry, the mental thing goes away after the first couple times. At least it did for me. Yes, it's scary at first (and I remember it well) but it gets easier as you go along.
Miss you!
Cuidate! (Take care of yourself!)
GEEZ! holy hannah! what a story! i'm relieved to hear that you are alright, but that must have been terrifying to go through alone :(
Keep on keepin' on my friend, you are one tough cookie!
I make and teach art. The rest of the time, I travel. After Spain, England, Uganda, California and years of tour guiding, it was time for the next big adventure. Working for Carnival Cruise Lines. I signed onto my first ship in December 2006. Sevent contracts and twelve ships later and I've been around the Caribbean, Central America, Mexico, Hawaii and Alaska.
What have I put my hard-earned cruise money to? More travel! Oct - Dec 08 I travelled around South Africa. Sept 2010 I went to Fiji which had been at the top of my travel list for years. Making dreams come true!

What a beautiful revelation, Jeanette. You're making me all weepy. :) I am there with you, friend, I am there among the fish. Go forth and wonder.
