I love the whole "tiny part of something huge" thing. I feel it every day. To think that I've spent so much time living in my own little World in Canada, while other cultures are co-existing and making their way perfectly fine without me in their own country.... sounds so naive I know but I have truly enjoyed seeing how others live their life compared to how I normally am living mine. People have told me that I will get home and everyone there will seem spoiled and inconsiderate... we'll see. Wouldn't it be awesome if EVERYONE wanted to be the one to make a small difference?
Beautiful Pics too btw!
You're oh so lucky missy! Hellllo Jeanette,
OMG...I can't believe how many adventures you've been on since you left! It looks like you're having a absolute BLAST! I'm sooooo jealous. Here we are freezing in Canada while you're parading on every beach possible!
Do you love it or what...working on the the BIG ship, the food, OMG and I hope the people are good to you...any hotties for you????? You must tell us everything when you get back. I was catching up on all your entries and got to the parts about you being sick and dizzy and I totally felt your pain..it's the worst feeling being sick away from home.
Have you gotten home sick yet??? I hope not, cause I would trade you places any day...miss you lot's hun, stay safe and bring us back lot's of stories!

morfo doesn't refer to butterfly - it refers to morphing, changing - because it's blue but changes as soon as it lands.
i wish i could come visit and eat your mangoes. just eat lots for me okay?
Would it be a bad time to tell you that I have a Mango tree in my backyard? lol... Sorry, but it's true. The mangos are just tiny right now but in a few weeks apparently we'll be clearing them out of our yard every day unless we want rotting fruit back there... MANGOS for EVERYONE! Come visit... I promise 10 home-grown Mangos ;)
Also, I think Morfo is the spanish word for "moth"... lol. Mariposa is the Spanish word for butterfly. That's funny.
Breathtaking....... Hello there Netty......I finally sat down today and caught up on your adventures. I'm in awe......the history lessons are wonderful. Interesting fact about your adventure with the Blue Morpho....the other day there were 4 beautiful, bright coloured Blue Jays in the yard playing and enjoying the treats provided. I grabbed the camera and thought I'd capture their beauty. The minute I started zooming in they hid behind branches and eventually flew away. Maybe it's true, their beauty was only to be a memory.
We are again in the middle of a blizzard. Last Sat we had lake affect snow and today it has been blowing since 6:00 a.m. Byran says a few miles north of here there is nothing. Thanks for the diversion. Miss ya! xoxo
I love old trees like that. I have quite a few pics of trees like that here too. Awesome. So glad that you were able to enjoy the history of St. Kitts. I was never good with history so it's awesome to see someone who is. Glad you're enjoying your trip. February already huh? CRAZY!
looks like you've survived the 1st month Jeanette,
Way tah go slugger!
Wow I can hardly believe I've been back here in Timmins already since Jan 5th.
Love the pics posted of Justin teaching dance and our family after the jazz show.
Been thinking of you every time I look at my souvenirs...
lots going on up here, dad's birthday and a wedding back in Hamilton next week... an appearance on a national CBC show (Test the Nation) in March.
The radio continues to pave some positive future for me.
I'm at work so this is brief BUT let me know if you want some pics even though I think we have mostly doubles of the ones we shared together.
Nothing but love from the family and of course me too,
Matthew/Thomas

You're cute... so is Brooks. Hmmm....
Glad you had a nice day in the sun. Sometimes Vitamin D is the best medicine. Funny to think of everyone at home in snow huh? lol.
YeOldeMan Your pictures at least help one to feel warm even if it is minus 20 outside here in Ottawa.
Your story about the day spent swimmin with the two children on Sint Martens is very touching. It sounds like a budding life-long frienship is developing there that will be forever meaningful to both them and you.
SO JEALOUS! Hey there! I have just got caught up with all of your travel blogs and I am so jealous. It's sounds like you are having the time of your life! Anyhoo, Cayuga is really boring - BIG surprise! I just finished filling in for McEachern at CSS and now I'm off to DSS to teach English. I wish I could just hang out with you on the ship. I will try to check on your blog more often so I can see where you are in the world! Miss ya!
Netter, seeing that picture and reading the story of the children warmed my heart. It's so great to hear that you are having these awesome experiences. Those are the ones you'll remember forever. And the best part? So will the children ;)
I had no idea of these things either. I also had no idea that it's official language was english. I think I just assumed it was spanish like here. hmmmm... crazy. You gonna try scuba diving??? ;)
I still have to decide where to go for my 2 weeks of travel at the end of the year. I'm doing guatemala at Easter for a week. Do I do Belize and go for the diving or Costa Rica and go for the crazy zip lines through the forest and surfing??? Or do I do the nothern coast of Honduras and hike a volcano and visit a jungle??? EEEEK!
Never got a notice of your blogs... I don't think people are getting mine either. I haven't recieved any comments lately and then was surprised to see you had 3 new blogs I didn't know about. Things that make you go hmmmm....
So unfair that you are so close. Brooks looks like fun.

OKay, you are making ME jealous! I have been with Carnival for 7 years and haven't done a lot of the things that you have experienced in your first month! Good to be friends with the spa girls! And two charters in a row!!! The techs must have LOVED that!! Very envious that you got to see BNL! And I warned you about the boringness... you mentioned boredom, best thing to do is make friends in the crew bar... brave the smoke Jeanette, it's the best way to meet people on the ship :)
Keep living it large Jeanette :)
The "cool rock" is called brain coral. lol... wonder why it's called that? lol... looking forward to the photo tour! Also, that last comment on the last blog was from me too... thought I was signed in but apparently I'm not.
I've heard of Guster! They are awesome! I think aron and gin are rather large fans of theirs. Your blogs are fantastic and I love to read them. Hows the knitting? Missing you tons! -sans
I make and teach art. The rest of the time, I travel. After Spain, England, Uganda, California and years of tour guiding, it was time for the next big adventure. Working for Carnival Cruise Lines. I signed onto my first ship in December 2006. Sevent contracts and twelve ships later and I've been around the Caribbean, Central America, Mexico, Hawaii and Alaska.
What have I put my hard-earned cruise money to? More travel! Oct - Dec 08 I travelled around South Africa. Sept 2010 I went to Fiji which had been at the top of my travel list for years. Making dreams come true!
