No exciting trips abroad this time, unless you count the daily cross country tour to get to work. The trains here have an interesting game they like to play with me, its called, go, go, stop. Canceled, delayed, move you confidently forward one stop, then canceled. Its all a head game and one has to outsmart them to survive. Find a job which is awesome, and doesn't mind when you come in and lets you work evenings when you need to, and weekends, or one that feeds you after you've spent two hours commuting, or one that regularly has great events [View Full Entry]

Before I start, I was just SO inspired by this guy's blog: http://www.travelblog.org/Bloggers/aspiringnomad/ check it out - he and his wife and now their new baby, have been everywhere and seen everything. Its incredible. Soooo let's see, its not been HORRIBLY long - just...over a month. :) Since Berlin, which was a great trip again, this time with Dzl so it was fun to go around to all the cafes with him, and check out a few new ones that Mads had found with his friend there. We went out on a couple all-nighters which was great, and considering the trip [View Full Entry]

Update! Europe » Denmark » Region Hovedstaden » Copenhagen
Its been a looong time since I updated this. The short version. Half Machine was getting ready for Roskilde festival, I finished school (with an A on the last project no less) and went to Canada for thre weeks. Visited family and friends, went to Vegas with my mom, won at the PENNY slots, haha, and had a great time in both Canada and Vegas. Came back home to Denmark, spent a day with my then-very-new boyriend, and had a job interviw the next day, (didn't work out, but proves that I should not work for evil empires) next up, Roskilde [View Full Entry]

Let’s see how to explain this, my month of May was so busy that I actually didn’t write a thing, this is a problem since SO MUCH happened. :) 1)Submarine Party: http://halfmachine.dk/posts/158 We launched the world’s largest privately built submarine, the UC3 Nautilus, it was an inspiring and beautiful day followed by a perfect and fun party at the MS Half Machine. People were wearing sailor outfits, we had dancers, musicians, fantastic DJs, people doing visuals, composers (Andreas & Toby) prepared a theme song for the launch, and the press went INSANE with it which was [View Full Entry]

Short entry - but fun - make sure to check out the Italian entry - that's the latest one. This past weekend - which started on Thursday - we spent in the sunshine on the barge in the beautiful Copenhagen harbour. I met with some people to arrange for them to rent the boat for a "Pecha Kucha" night http://www.pecha-kucha.org/ it sounds like its going to be a brilliant event with a marketplace in the harbour and really fantastic speakers projecting their twenty minute presentations on to the side of the boat. Aside from that, we've been planning the "Submarine Party" [View Full Entry]

Italian Rendezvous  Europe » Italy » Lazio » Rome
I'm not in Rome anymore, and in fact, I think that was two weeks...three weeks? Some weeks ago. Nonetheless, I'm finally sitting down to write this so we'll start with Rome - as a side note, I'm sitting down to write this, in my bathing suit, on my balcony, suntanning. :P I hear you still have snow in Vancouver? How's that going for you? Its apparently 11 degrees but it feels more like 15 or so...seeing as how I'm not at all cold. I need tanning oil if anyone is sending things here, that would be nice. :P As always, I [View Full Entry]

I’m finally sitting down in one place for more than a day, WITH my laptop so now I can write in my blog again, hurray. Okay fun facts to sum up the below: spent a week in Berlin, chilling, working, drinking a lot of mojitos, came to Sweden for three days, had my computer completely die on me, gave up trying to fix it, and went to Dublin for a week for St. Patrick’s Day, partied it up with a bunch of Scandinavian/Nordic friends {in Ireland, haha} and a few perpetually drunk Tazmanian/Aussie folk. Spent our last night dancing in Dublin [View Full Entry]

I’m tempted to call this the pre-Berlin blog. Yep, I know that was the title two blogs ago, then you saw the blog about Berlin. But I’m going back, March 1-8th...so perhaps it is the pre-Berlin blog.  Again. So SINCE last Berlin trip, its been an absolute whirlwind of madness. I think my to-do lists are secretly mating and producing offspring as I seem to have about 5 sheets of paper with tasks on them on my person at all times. School is one thing. Half Machine is another. My website company has a bit of business going on at [View Full Entry]

Its all about the balcony. For instance, I am sitting on my balcony in Lund, wrapped up in a blanket writing this blog entry on a beautiful, sunny February day. I have just returned from my second trip to Berlin since I’ve been here - but this trip was definitely not of the tourist variety. Transmediale is an arts festival that happens annually in Berlin and as a class, we had planned to go for quite some time. The time was finally upon us and we left last Sunday to spend a glorious week geeking it out in Berlin. By arts [View Full Entry]

Pre-Berlin Update Europe » Sweden » Skåne » Lund
Before heading to Berlin, I thought I better make a quick post-new-years-post. I got back from the UK and Germany and ended up getting straight to work on the final two weeks of our toilet-sign-switching project that I discussed before. We’ve officially named it the Ladies and Mens Room Mixup (LMRM) and spent the first week back finalizing the prototype and testing it out at the club. It went pretty well, we had three elements, the automatic door switching, a wheel with a lever so people could choose which mode they wanted it in (boy/girl, girl/boy, girl/girl, etc) and the touch [View Full Entry]
