No exciting trips abroad this time, unless you count the daily cross country tour to get to work. The trains here have an interesting game they like to play with me, its called, go, go, stop. Canceled, delayed, move you confidently forward one stop, then canceled. Its all a head game and one has to outsmart them to survive. Its been a looong time since I updated this. The short version. Half Machine was getting ready for Roskilde festival, I finished school (with an A on the last project no less) and went to Canada for thre weeks. Visited family and friends, went to Vegas with my mom, won at the PENNY slots, haha, and had a great time in both Canada and Vegas. Let’s see how to explain this, my month of May was so busy that I actually didn’t write a thing, this is a problem since SO MUCH happened. :) 1)Submarine Party: http://halfmachine.dk/posts/158 We launched the world’s largest privately built submarine, the UC3 Nautilus, it was an inspiring and beautiful day followed by a perfect and fun party at the MS Half Machine. Short entry - but fun - make sure to check out the Italian entry - that's the latest one. This past weekend - which started on Thursday - we spent in the sunshine on the barge in the beautiful Copenhagen harbour. I met with some people to arrange for them to rent the boat for a "Pecha Kucha" night http://www.pecha-kucha.org/ it sounds like its going to be a brilliant event with a marketplace in the harbour and really fantastic speakers projecting their twenty minute presentations on to the side of the boat. I'm not in Rome anymore, and in fact, I think that was two weeks...three weeks? Some weeks ago. Nonetheless, I'm finally sitting down to write this so we'll start with Rome - as a side note, I'm sitting down to write this, in my bathing suit, on my balcony, suntanning. :P I hear you still have snow in Vancouver? How's that going for you? Its apparently 11 degrees but it feels more like 15 or so...seeing as how I'm not at all cold. I’m finally sitting down in one place for more than a day, WITH my laptop so now I can write in my blog again, hurray. Okay fun facts to sum up the below: spent a week in Berlin, chilling, working, drinking a lot of mojitos, came to Sweden for three days, had my computer completely die on me, gave up trying to fix it, and went to Dublin for a week for St. Patrick’s Day, partied it up with a bunch of Scandinavian/Nordic friends {in Ireland, haha} and a few perpetually drunk Tazmanian/Aussie folk. Its all about the balcony. For instance, I am sitting on my balcony in Lund, wrapped up in a blanket writing this blog entry on a beautiful, sunny February day. Before heading to Berlin, I thought I better make a quick post-new-years-post. I got back from the UK and Germany and ended up getting straight to work on the final two weeks of our toilet-sign-switching project that I discussed before. We’ve officially named it the Ladies and Mens Room Mixup (LMRM) and spent the first week back finalizing the prototype and testing it out at the club.
