So we are back home safe and sound. Fiji was Amazing! blue blue waters, coco nut filled palm trees and tons of adventures to be had. I would have updated the blog earlier, but the islands were very simple, and had no such luxuries as internet or hot water :P Throughout the week "fijitime" we managed to visit 4 small islands. the main island Nadi, corovue, coralview and bounty. Nadi is the main island. Most of the population lives there. its the main Hub for all the islands. This is where we first landed, in the blanket of the night, the first Backpackers was very nice, people just lounging by the TV in the common area, and if you walked a little further you are greeted by the white, soft sandy beaches and rolling waves that ... read more

Well NZ is now behind us...or infront...Im not sure..I will totally miss it. People for the most part were super friendly (unless your on the wrong side of the road...then they get pretty upset :P Ive gone on about the driving before but it was just so crazie it needs another mention. NZ drivers, drive like they are in a Rally race. For them (the guys at least) "Driving is in the Blood" The slower you go in the mountains the more uncoool you are :P But with all the Head on collisions we saw, uncool was Juuuuuust fine :) Also Locals are able to mouth off to the police!! (we watched some of the Cop reality shows they had, where driving offenders just told cops off ( in T.O. you'd get a Taser to the ... read more

we are on our journey back to aukland to return our rental car ( it really has been abused ) we had to use the interior as an inprompt due dryer for our clothes ( one of the dryers at a hostle failed to dry our laundry at all (after dumping 9 bucks into it) Before we left willington, we stopped off at the Zoo to check out all those crazie NZ animals that we thought we'd see!! (not so tho! there were tiger and bear and bird oh my :S ) We then started our drive back to Aukland. We drove for about 5 hours and stoped in at a town Called Waitioto (famous for the enormous caves) Taking some good adivce from our trusty traveling companion (the lonley planet travel book) We stopped off ... read more

To save on cash we have just been buying grocerys and having picnicks allong the way. We have managed to save enough money to fravel to Fiji for an extra week. It was a bit of juggling re aranging our tickets, but well worth it Im sure :) In Wellington today. (10:00am) we stopped to spoil ourselfs at a nice breakfast place. I had the eggs Benidict (awsome!!) Helene had crazie pancakes with whipcream and fruit (she cant move anymore) we are planning to go to the Zoo here as they have some pretty interesting wild life that we dont have back home. more pictures and stuff as we travel through NZ. in the last couple of days weve crammed in allot of hikes and other activities like Zorbing and tastings. nothing really crazie to mention, just loving all the scenery and fresh air, today we took the ferry over to the South island. we are going to trek through here for a couple days, Hitting some LOTR treks, and doing a bungie jump in Queens town. END July 15th still trekking through!! found some amazing coast lines populated with tons of seals. They have no quams when approched sloooowly. july 9th Yesterday we left our tiny cottage in te amor. It was an awsome little cottage. with a little kitchenet, a double bed and a tv. nice touches made this place a pleasure to stay in. (heaters for the bed) we spent the day booting it in the car for the most part. Stopping along the way at markets, trails, and winery (blueberry) our destination is the bustling cityof Rotorua. Known for its freestyle activitys (bungie jumping, zorbing, mountain climbing, cycling) we found a nice hostle, and met some nice people. We also did a few activities some weird jet thingy, that you just jump on and 2 operators just fling you about. Another one where your in a bicyle type capsule and you peddel around a track. Fun stuffs. We are staying in rotura for ... read more

July 8th up at 4:30 this morning, still adjusting to the lag. We spent the night in a Auckland hotel (mercerd) kind of a fancy place, Helene managed to find a room on the cheep with thier website (small room on the top floor) with the price of 95$ Auckland: not much to tell about this NZ City, one of the 3 major citys. they have a big tall tower like the CN a market and many cafe's office buildings and all the other ingredients that make up a city. Cant say I was impressed on any level, or dissapointed for that matter. Really I just wanted to get out of the city and start adventuring. Helene picked up a new camera bag, and I picked up a couple bottles of a new korean drink I ... read more

July 7th kiwi time. I have to say yesterday (kind of yesterday....more like last couple of days innoring all the time zones we past threw) was one of the most turbulent roller coaster rides of all. Started out normal ennuff. We woke up at BCU went and grabbed some coffee and breakfast (BTW coffee here is really good, just dont ask for decaff. you will get a deadly look) we had to replace a couple of Helenes camera essentials. (she left here cam bag with her bat. charger and cf cards and a filter at a scenic lookout. We only discoverd this when reaching whistler. We did try to find them on the way back, but they were gone for good) Even tho Vancouver has to be one of the most friendlyiest and honest places ever! ... read more
