12th - 17th February 2008 Well we arrived in Koh Tao about 9.30am, we found a taxi to take us to Sairee Beach which cost 200 bahts (which is relatively expensive) we went to Sairee Cottages where I had hoped to find a room. When we got there all they had was rooms that were 1300 bahts a night, and with our budget at 500 totally out of our price range, Matt stayed with the bags and I headed up and down the pathway that runs along by the beach to other places again only 1300+ a night then I managed [View Full Entry]

We hit the showers and all headed out for a bite to eat. [View Full Entry]

27th - 29th Jan We left on a nice VIP bus from Chiang Mai for a 3 hour journey to Chiang Rai, with the comfortable seats, snack and a drink I was happy chilling out on the bumpy road up there. It seems a lot of the road it being re done so pretty much the odd dirt track along the way. But with my ipod on it was a few ours to catch up on some sleep. Once we reached Chiang Rai, straight away hounded by the tuk tuk drivers and handed severals details for different guesthouses. We had one [View Full Entry]

The guest house is really nice, the rooms are a nice size with en suite and hot shower, the bathrooms could be done with a refresh though. Once finding the place as it was only 8am we had to wait to check in till gone 10, so we just sat in the foyer it was 37 deg outside so didnt fancy going for a walk just yet !!!! 27th Dec - 2nd Jan We left Bondi and headed to Kings Cross to be a little bit closer to rhe CBD for NYE. We are staying in the D'lux hostel which is an ok hostel quite big with a roof garden with good views over the city. Location is good for walking to the harbour, the botannical gardens. Kings Cross is a very busy area with clubs, bars, stripper clubs and the odd lady of the night hanging around !!!! But literally round the corner you have Potts Point/woolloomooloo/and Elizabeth Bay which was lovely areas and nice to walk around [View Full Entry]

20 - 27th Dec We left Katoomba and headed back on the train to Sydney and headed over to Bondi Beach, we was booked into Lamrock Lodge for a week and was nice to settle for a few days. Lamrock Lodge was nice, we had a double room, which came with TV, fridge, microwave and sink so was nice to have your own space and save some pennies by staying in a few nights to watch TV. The kitchen facitilies in Lamrock were a bit poo to be honest but most nights we grabbed a takeaway. The bathrooms were a little [View Full Entry]

14th - 16th Dec We arrived early morning in Sydney from Central station where the greyhound drops you off. We jumped on the train to Circular Quay and the ferry to Manly. We were booked into Manly Backpackers for 3 nights. Thankfully it was only about 500 metres from the ferry wharf so not to far to walk. We arrived at 9am just as reception was opening and checked into what became hell for 3 nights, the room was a 4 dorm which looked like it hadnt seen a cleaner for god know how long. The girl who was in there [View Full Entry]
