Hey, After much time,stress and money the coffee shop is finally open. Hey,sorry no picture's as yet but I've been so busy getting the shop ready and trying to motivate my student's. Getting the shop ready is easy compared to organising 55 student's in a classroom that would pass as a boiler room on the too hot scale any day.The shop is a mixture of dream,idea and cool and not in that order.I think most people who know me would be surprised that I'm even doing this as it has sentenced me to life in Thailand.Spending alot of money on one thing tend's to mess up any future plan's of your life.I had to swallow hard a few times and the reality of it has hit me.I came home from work the other day with a deep pain in my stomach and "no" it wasn't too much beer!The ... read more

Hey, The guesthouse is a no go,after working out cost's it looked like to much hard work.So as lady has it the restaurant next door closed due to money problem's so I'm now renting it and starting a small business.The place will be turned into a coffee shop.There's nothing better then sitting in an air-con place reading the paper and drinking good coffee.The idea is now in the process of becoming reality,which for me is very exciting.The place will have a modern and old feel to it,using French,English and Asian pictures,paintings and decore.Comfort is the key,after cycling around the temples all day people want a good place to relax,I hope I can make people feel that when they come.I'll keep you posted with pictures of how the shop is coming along. The Front of the place..
Hey, These are some pictures of the guesthouse I hope to have up and running.The location is two minutes from the ruins and opposite the bus and mini-bus station in Ayutthaya.As you can see a lot of work is needed to get it open again but I'm willing to work everyday to get it off the ground.I've offered a managers job to a good friend of mine and Ou's,he's a trust- worthy guy who has done some tourism in Bangkok.He speak's Thai and English very well and would be an asset to the place.I'll still work at the school but this will be extra income for me so I can do more to build my life here.... read more
Greetings gang, Sorry no pictures as yet but everything seems to be going well.The bar's been abit slow at late but with the World Cup around the corner things will pick up.I have loads of ideas which will soon be put into practice.Having my experiance in bar and restaurants has helped and now i'm trying to plan a promotion that should blow the rest out the water and leave one bar drowning.We've been having problems with this dickhead next door who likes to copy other people's work.Nevermind enough of me banging on,not much has been happening.I started a new school 3 weeks ago and it's going well although my throat is sore every Friday from shouting too much.Other then that I've been really lazy and sleeping every moment I get. My Birthaday
Hey,I recently went to Dreamworld a theme-park on the outskirts of Bangkok with Ou and her kid's.It was on a Friday so it gave me chance to do something other then sleeping or spending all day hungover."OOP'S" too late and after getting only 5hrs kip we were on our way to the park.Sitting in the front seat with the girl's singing in the back didn't go down to well and the urge to throw up all over the dash board was something I couldn't do,even if I tried.I knew when I got there a couple of rides would pump the adrenalin around my knackered body and I'd be sorted.The three girl's Yok,Mine and Jan were really excited and I wanted them to have a good day out so it didn't take long to get into the ... read more

Here are some photo's of a wedding me and Ou went to a month ago.We went on a boat cruise around Ayutthaya and being the only farang I was slightly out of place but the beer kept me in good spirit.The food was great,the couple looked great and the karaoke was pretty funny.I didn't sing but listening to the groom sing"Have I told you lately that I love you"made me want to throw myself of the boat.Also included are some photo's of our new cat's that were given to us,that makes five cat's in the house and it's like living in a zoo. Valentines Day,Ayutthaya
Hey everyone. Sorry it's taking me so long to publish another chapter of my wonderful life in Thailand.Truth is I've been busy,lazy and sick all at the same time and right this moment I'm suffering from a headache which has lasted two day's.The heat is the problem it's been really cool and the last week or so it's been a burn yer bald patch 37 but it beat's being in England with all the snow and rain.Anyway I decided that every special day should have a party,so I arranged a valentine's day bash at the bar.Free bbq and strawberries and cream it went down a treat and everyone had a good time.I can remember about 3am trying to sit on my seat talking to this Thai guy whose english was pretty good but all could come ... read more
