Happiest of all Birthdays Bob! Many happy returns. Got your postcard. Amazing and as usual speechless at the beauty in your photos and jealous of your fantastic adventure. I look forward to more, please. Love and miss you buddy. Enjoy your life. xoxo Deb & Peter
Pictures are fantastic and make me feel like I'm there with you (minus the gross rice porridge). Cue music for 'African Lion Safari'.
What an amazing adventure you continue to have. Very jealous back here in Canada.
That was kind of them to just put two candles there, although I imagine it would have been a fire hazard if they put the correct amount. ;-) Miss ya Bobby!
For a short length blog, I thought this was very interesting with aspects of a safari you don't often hear about like the hyena dung and hippo skeleton. Thanks for sharing and happy birthday!
Photos Your photos are amazing... I can only imagine what it's like to be there in person. Thanks for sharing your adventure with all of us here in the concrete jungle. By the way I saw an impala yesterday. It was a red four door at the corner of Yonge Dundas! Not as exciting as it sounds...but hey at least I can say I saw one!
Amazing! I am in awe of these photos. It seems so National Geographic, but I know you are there and living it. Fantastic! No wonder you love your life. I am just jealous.
Creative Art I'm impressed by your artistic production that empowers a good number of the lowly and physically challenged persons of TZ.I'm also part of this field here in Nakuru-Kenya.God bless you.
Thank you.... ...for showing us the beauty that Tanzania has to offer, and more importantly, for not putting up picture of creepy, crawly reptiles and bugs!
Happy New Year! I think it's been since the last New Year that you got a response from me. I have no excuses and apologize, but i'm glad to know you are well. However, I DO remember my 21st birthday!
Just a quick hello to say all is well here and i look forward to getting together again someday but not before catching up on a few of the back blogs...so you don't have to recite them all to me in person when I ask you how the trip went.
btw All the best for a great 2013...with continued success and adventure.
Cheers.
Phil
Just buggin' Was there anything you were told to stay away from because they were dangerous? So far your blogs read "big snake...but I was able to get right into his face to take this picture!"
Merry Christmas Bobbo! Wow... Looks stunning Bob! Hope your Christmas has been good... Was so good to talk to you on my birthday. Miss you... Do let me know if you might be back in TO at some point and we'll rally the troops! Love ya... Catch some rays for me, eh? Esther xoxo
Bob and Flora the Explora! Okay....rub it in. No, you deserve to see and be in the middle of all this beauty.
Actually we're fine here weatherwise. Chicago has managed to dodge all of these horrible snowstorms hitting the rest of the country. I hope it stays that way through the New Year. take care my friend and keep having fun!
love
Jeanne
I left Canada on July 1st, 2011 and traveled to Dar es Salaam, Tanzania. I am happy to say that this adventure is beyond my expectations.
First and foremost, my work with Femina (www.feminahip.or.tz) is great. Femina is a multimedia platform and civil society organization. It provides information and encourages open dialogue with Tanzanian youth, families and communities on important topics like sexual and reproductive health, economic empowerment and citizen engagement. Their approach provides voice to youth and gets them engaged in topics related to improving their lives.
