Robbery in Buenos aires is not unheard of. It´s almost suprising if it hasn´t happened to you. Yesterday, as we sat outside at a cafe, in the city, full daylight, sea of people going about there day around you, I had my very first ENCOUNTER and not of the third kind. My emotions are going out of whack. Worlds of extremes...meeting people crazier than me, dealing with people crazier than me...is not so easy. So what have I learned on this thus far 6 month journey? Went back to the consulate to pick up my much awaited visa. I was waiting eagerly for a fancy lil passport look alike visa...with my picture in it. Come on, we pay buckoos for it, shouldn´t we get something fancy? So what did I find. Nothing fancy. Just two filled pages of MY passport...one page with a stick on official stamped white paper and across it on the opposite sheet of my paper a stamped explanation of some sort. It surely has been a whirlwind of a trip thus far. Let the adventure continue! Well, tomorrow I´ll go pick up my Brazilian tourist visa and I can´t wait to go into new territory. The brazilian visa took three takes. The first time, I arrived at the consulate when it was closed. The second attempt I failed to have in/out bus/plane tickets to brazil.
