La Patagonia: Pero Cual? Las dos. Cual Dos? Los dos lados, che! Cuales. Chile y Argentina, po! Mi primer parasda fue la de Chile. Torres Del Paine. Famoso por su circuito ¨W¨. A five day trek to be made in the summer. But arriving in the ¨winter¨, I took my chances to have the park to myself, this meant less TOURISTS, less wind (cough, cough) and well, lots of mountains! KAt, my austrian friend, and I had just finished a three day kayak trip and we were ready for some more. A five or 6 day back country expedition was [View Full Entry]

The original plan was to arrive in Puerto Natales and leave to El Calafate, Aregentian Patagonia. But all that all came to a hualt when I met Katarina. An austrian girl in my hostal who was getting ready for her trekking expedition to Torres del Paine. We got to swapping stories and before we knew it we were talking about kayaking through gloaciers and looking at INDOMITAs Pamphlet of kayaking excursions. Not caring how much $$ we were going to spend, we quickly desserted our current plans to go in search of the perfect rivers to kayak through. We put [View Full Entry]

Story NUMERO UnO : Bought bus ticket out of Pucon to Puerto varas. & hours of riding a bus awaited me. I was ready. Lots of cookies for my 3 times a day snack...one liter of water (hmm, cuplrit), one avacodo and braed for lunch, and loads of zzzzzz´s! One of the many small town stops I decided I was going to use the bathroom at the bus station. Come on they are less stink than bus latrines. I got off the Bus in Osorno and as i passed the bus driver I quickly asked how long the bus was [View Full Entry]

On sat I´ll be flying to PUNTA ARENAS and I´m so excited because it means that i'll finally be in SOUTHERN PATAGONIA...my dream place of all times. Eventhough i'm going in the wrong season, it certainly means hardly any tourists : ) Maybe I can have the mountains all to myself. But I guess that means having to hike alone. I hope not. Claudia and maps don't mix too well, so I guess I ll have to figure something out? At the moment, I´m tired. We hiked 15 km today and it was beautiful. First we went to the Encenada [View Full Entry]

Ovio Guey! I open my mouth and the first thing people ask me, ¨Eres Mexicana, Tu acento y palabras son de MEXICANA¨. ¨Pues, si......¨ and there I go about my story about my mexicanesssssssssssssss. Most respond with an ¨Orale, guey! Que Padre!¨and I respond with an ¨Obvio guey, cachay¨. Well, here in Chile, everyone is super nice. Yes, I know, everyone tells me to not trust anyone but how can you get to know someone when you automatically can´t trust them? I just rely on my instincts and I am myself and I want to get to know people. By the [View Full Entry]

Due to constant stomach pains, about a month now, I finally went to the Dr. today. The dr. was an old big bellied man with gray hair who left nothing unscathed. He looked at my nails, shook his head, looked at my hair, shook his head, to a look at my tummy, shook his head, pinched my belly, shook his head and said...you need to stop bitting your nails, you have to take vitamins for your hair, and you need to loose weight. LOL. And you need to stop being a nervous girl, look at you, you fidget too much. [View Full Entry]
