ROBINWILD - ROBIN WILD

ROBIN WILD Tell us a bit about yourself... this information will appear on your page. Hi there, i am about to leave the Sunny Isles of the UK and embark on a really long road, train, bus, boat and a few planes kind of a trip. My first stop will be in India where it is now 42oc in the shade!!! I am meeting a mate in Bombay and then doing the southern coast, so lots of beaches and tea plantations to be seen. Then onto Sri Lanka to do some surfing and see some Elephants, the Indo China Loop is next, i am particularly intrested in Cambodia and Vietnam and their shockingly violent recent history. Then into the top end of Oz down the west coast to Perth. My final destination is Nz where i will be living and working for 23 months. Not too sure where, when and what i will do when i get finally get there, but i am sure i will figure it all out. To night is my last night on olde London town and i am nervous and excited as hell. Hope to hear from lots of folk real soon.

Sarah and i had had a long chat about us going all the way to the top, to 90 mile beach, which isn't actually 90 miles but is very long, but to get there you must go on a off road track full of pot holes and wondering sheep, and i had put up a big enough argument to insist that there was no way my car was going to make it on this road and i was not going to let her take my car without me being in it...so for the first time on the trip i won the [View Full Entry]

So North it was for us, well north and then a swift right to take us too a lovely place called Hamner springs, this was meant to be one of the places to go if you wanted some hot water springs action, and by this time i fear we were both in desperate need of a break and some R and R. So to Hamner springs we headed, arriving at a wonderful guest house which was recommended to us by some fellow travelers, called la Guit. Run by a lovely French couple and their very friendly cats. The place was great [View Full Entry]

So off we set on the next leg of our adventure, only this time we were going to Queenstown...Queenstown is the center for adventure in New Zealand, it is where Bungi was invented and people drink cocktails in homemade Togas, out of Teapots. The town/Kiwi City is packed both winter and summer as it has so many other activies todo which are not snow related, we were a little bit early for the snow, so looked into other activies to get the blood pumping...The last time i was in Queenstown it was raininy and so i couldn't really see what the [View Full Entry]

It was so cold, that we had to run for cover
In the little town of Picton which is on the top of the South Island of New Zealand, i set out in the Bright Yellow 1977 Rauxhall 3 door car to collect my sister Sarah who was flying into Christchurch on the 1st of May. The morning started off in a state and proceeded to become a mess, what with my sporadic packing and attempt of cleaning, and then trying to find a map of New Zealand's roads, it turns out the only map i could find was one from 1999 and was a German map of the Islands in which [View Full Entry]

Well i have surrived the bush and all the perils that come along with it. I loved the trip down from Darwin to Broome. The group was 16 of us and our fearless leader was an ex army solidger of 16 years so there was no messing around with him. He was defo the right man that you wanted out with you in the bush, when we get flat tyers and where we really were no phones, roads and no electricty which was great, we all got terrible dirty as there were really no where for us to wash, so the [View Full Entry]
