In ten short days we'll farewell our local Prada store, shake the bejeweled hand of Chanel, bid adieu to Jimmy Choo, and shift our ever-expanding backpacks to the Upper West Side. Our new hood promises more action, less surgeon-tailored smiles, and the lip-smacking aroma of fresh baked Magnolia Cupcakes from two blocks down. Having nailed the 'Lady of Leisure' crown firmly in place this past year, nothing could've prepared me for the onslaught commonly known as 'work'. A spine-bending, muscle-beefing three days of unloading boxes of books to set up America's largest new bookstore has left me wilted in body and mind.
