The Traveling Canadian
Quitting, whether a job or a habit means taking a turn so as to be sure you’re still moving in the direction of your dreams. In this way, quitting a job to go vagabonding should never be seen as the need of something grudging and unpleasant. Rather it’s a vital step in the beginning something new and wonderful.
What you've done becomes the judge of what you're going to do - especially in other people's minds. When you're traveling, you are what you are right there and then. People don't have your past to hold against you. No yesterdays on the road.
A journey is best measured in friends, rather than miles

I know it's late but I just checked out Big Bamboo's website and they posted these pics. I'm sure you can tell that it was a great time had by all except the American fans. LOL

To have somebody try to imagine what I've been able to see in the last 6 months is impossible. Making these videos so you can see with your own eyes what I have been very lucky to see means more to me. I have meet some of the most amazing people of my life in the last 6 months during this trip and I hope to see all of you again if not most of you in the near future. I hope everybody enjoys watching these videos as much as I enjoy making them. All the best to everybody I have meet

I thought that was someone over exaggerating because that would mean 10 million people have left the largest city in China. After being here for a couple days I think that is right. Walking through downtown Shanghai (what I think is downtown anyway) and to see the streets bare is something you would see in a Hollywood movie about the world coming to an end. You could shot a cannon down the main street and you'd be lucky to hit somebody. While walking down the streets you can see just how many people live here by looking in the sky. You can't look anywhere without seeing a sky scrapper. It's very impressive. Taking a peak at the map

It was built around the same time as the Terra-Cotta warriors. In 220 BC is when the warriors were built but were thought to have been lost forever until 1974 when a local farming was out digging for wells discovered what turned out to be one of the greatest archaeological finds of the 20th century. They have 3 separate pits discovered and they are saying that they have only discovered %20 of the actual site. They have uncovered over 8000 warriors so far with about 2000 in pristine shape and on show so people can see. Walking along the barrier that housed most of the found warriors

I had purchased a lonely planet that was a couple years old thinking it wouldn't of changed that much. To my surprise the hostel that I thought I was going to was now a hotel. I managed to find an internet cafe to find the address of another hostel but they wouldn't take US dollars. That's all I had and it was getting late and nobody would exchange it over to Yuen for me. Luckily for me there was women in the internet cafe who had some spare cash and paid for my time. I went out to find my hostel and to my surprise I ended up getting so lost and by
