Saturday 28th of July Have a guess to how we felt when we woke up on this morning. Yes as per usual we were hanging, I am scared I am turning into a raging alcoholic. Never the less we soldiered on like the troopers we are. Whilst fighting through the pains pulsating through my brain. I managed to drag myself to our communal bathroom and reacquaint myself with an old friend. I destroyed that toilet and once all of my bodily fluids had been depleted it was time to shower. I didn't however realise that Europeans were so liberal when it came to bathrooms I had just turned on the shower and removed all my clothes when in came the first European. Hmmmm... 26th July After another crazy night I found myself up and about looking for some Irish girls hand bag. This girl was one of Chris's best friends from back home and in all the drunkenness of last night she had stayed in our room. After a good while of searching and finally finding her bag it was next to the table where she fell off whilst dancing last night. Funny stuff. As per usual, Karl, Rich, myself and the Aussie lads attempting to remember the nights shenanigans. Todays agenda-continue to dominate on the pool table and go to fisherman's wharf down by the pier. Wednesday 25th of July We all woke up hungover. Feels like déjà vu it was as if every morning in San Francisco would be a repeat of the morning before. Apart from this time I could stomach pancakes I just woke up too late to have them. Having showered and changed we had a downstairs to play pool and blog for a few hours. There was no banter it was silence. No one had the energy to talk to each other. But we managed to find common interest in food in the middle of the day. And Ruby Murry was on the menu. 24th July These hangovers keep coming thick and fast, I can see this whole week turning into one massive bender. I can literally hear my liver cry every morning I feel this way. Today's agenda consisted of going to see the golden gate bridge and then they're a bit of a drive into the city after called Sausalito. Of course, first things first and get rid of this huge hangover that is currently haunting me. A combination of H2O and a sofa will do the trick. We called the valet to get our car, put down the hood and set off towards the golden gate bridge. Monday 23rd of July Great tired and hungover pretty much the story of my trip. And yet I still get woken up by my best friend in the morning. Even though we were doing nothing that day there was no reason to wake me. He still did it. I wasn't happy but after a while couldn't sleep and I had to get out of bed. We all three of us went downstairs to start breakfast. There was free pancakes that you could make yourself or nothing. My stomach was flipping at the thought of eating pancakes. 22nd July L.A to San Francisco. A long 6/7 hour journey but it was in a mustang which made up for it. Once we made it out L.A it was pretty much one straight road up the 101 highway. You would of thought this would be pretty boring, and you would be right for the most part but this is my first time driving on the wrong side of the road, automatic and a quick powerful car. All I can say is I had a good drive bombing around. Rich enjoyed it for a while but then became the worst back seat driver ever. He now has the title of the fun police and back seat driver. Saturday 21st of July I was very tired today having stayed up washing my clothes and stupidly watched a scary film before bed didn't really sleep very well. But we had to be up and ready to go to hertz to pick up our car for the last leg of the trip in California. We got up early to get the free shuttle to the airport because we didn't want to pay for extortionate taxi journey. LAX airport is absolutely massive so we had to wait for another free shuttlebus just take it to the hertz lot. By now it was about 11 o'clock, we queued line for another quarter of an hour. 20th July Up nice and early still feeling bad about losing our dollars last night. Packed up and looking forward to the prospect of an McDonalds breakfast. Something that we hadn't made it for in previous days. I actually got a round of applause from the lads when I managed to choke down a sausage mcmuffin after giving my throat 5 times the recommended dosage of numbing spray. It still hurt but the big dog needs to chow down after 2 days of pretty much nothing. Joe had a late flight so we said our goodbyes with manly hugs and we got in a taxi to the greyhound station. Thursday 19th of July I felt a little bit better by now after a few rest nights. The atmosphere between is all had died down a little. Steve our token Australian had gone and the Wolfpack are gone from 5 to 4. I spent a few hours that morning talking to friends from home, talking to family on Skype. And I managed to get in touch with one of our friends we met while we had out here. Annalise bless her heart was in Las Vegas, I had said to her before parted of she was most welcome to stay with us in our hotel. 18th July Las Vegas had pretty much broken us by this point. Almost free alcohol at night and 40+ degree heat in the day is a bad combination. I had managed to contract tonsillitis and the others are worn down wrecks. Fun. Today was dedicated to resting and tanning up by the pool. This was the day my throat was so bad I couldn't eat anything at all. Rich was complaining about feeling fat in McDonalds but that's what he gets when he orders 3 burgers and 2 hash browns at a time. It's hilarious winding him up about his weight. He gets so defensive about it. He then attacks back with a fat joke back or something to that effect which doesn't even get a reaction out of me.
