Thursday 19th of July I felt a little bit better by now after a few rest nights. The atmosphere between is all had died down a little. Steve our token Australian had gone and the Wolfpack are gone from 5 to 4. I spent a few hours that morning talking to friends from home, talking to family on Skype. And I managed to get in touch with one of our friends we met while we had out here. Annalise bless her heart was in Las Vegas, I had said to her before parted of she was most welcome to stay with us in our hotel. Unfortunately due to lack of wifi we had been able to communicate properly with each other. She had ended up finding a hostel in Las Vegas on staying there. But while on Facebook and managed to invite round so we could have a catch up in the sun. She came down and it was like she had never left. Great girl great personality. We spent all day lounging around the pool I covered myself head to toe in oil, don't worry it had an SPF 0 so I was certain to tan. We chatted for hours swam in the pool and watched or played volleyball. But after a while the murmurs of food were echoing around the group we all went up to the room to decide what to do. Annalise was meant to be going back to the hostel as she was taking two boys she had met up to San Francisco. But she decided to stay, she was having a good time and was hungry to. After much debate we were staring out of our window with a view of the strip. And decided to go to the Hard Rock Cafe across the road. Karl had never bin before and I've only been to the one in Paris so I knew it would be expensive but good. The Hard Rock Cafe was definitely a good idea, the food was amazing the atmosphere was brilliant, it was fun to look at all the different famous objects that had been collected and put around the whole restaurant. Even Michael managed to consume a little bit of pasta it was probably the only thing on the menu that would slide down his throat not scrape it. Afterwards we all decided to walk down and see a few of the different hotels. I really wanted to see the Venetian. Venice is actually somewhere I really want to go in my life but the idea of a little Venice was exciting. to see gondolas inside a hotel that looked like it was daytime would be amazing. On the way we stopped off another couple of drinks in the casinos nothing too much though. But by the time we got to the Cosmopolitan the guys had walked off ahead and we completely lost them. I don't know why but throughout this trip everyone seems to lose me, I don't think it's my fault. I think it's just I like to take things in not rush ahead to go and do nothing in the room yes I do like to take pictures but I can always delete the bad ones afterwards and I can always remember the feeling I had when I took them in the first place. Unfortunately from me my friends do not have the same opinion. This is why we always seem to separate from each other. We hung around looking at the chandelier a restaurant dangling in the middle of the casino made completely of Crystal and waited for the boys. After having no sign of them 10 minutes we decided to continue our tour all on our own. Again we walked talked for hours about absolutely everything. We went to the Venetian, to the Mirage to the flamingo to Caesar's Palace and eventually ended up seeing a free pirate show outside Treasure Island. It was cheesy in places but who doesn't love a little bit cheddar. The pyrotechnics were great and they even sank one of the massive pirate ships. Obviously they didn't actually sink it. It was all a big machine but it was still pretty cool to see and the actors were all diving from amazing heights plunging into the water it was actually pretty good. Afterwards it was around time for Annalise to leave, she had to go back and take the guys to San Francisco. By now they were probably wondering where she was. I said my final goodbyes to her as I put on a bus back to her hostel. And we again agreed to do lunch when we eventually see each other again in Manchester back home. In the end I probably had a better time with Annalise when I was looking around the casinos because she also like to stop take things in and take a few photos. I hate being rushed. When I got back to the hotel Michael Joe and karl were still awake and all gambling in our casino. Well that is all except Karl he had given up. Michael and I decided to give ourselves a higher limit as it was our last day. This was the worst decisions I've ever made on my entire life. We ended up playing on the blackjack tables but this time instead of the fives we were playing on the $10 minimum. I lost 16 straight hands do the maths. Michael won $60 already but three stupid bets later he had lost $200. We hung our heads and left the table feeling like we had been punched in the stomach by Muhammad Ali. Ironically when we got back to the room and put on the TV, ESPN classics was playing Muhammad Ali's first fight against George Foreman. We all drifted off to sleep as we all had massive journey the next day.
