20th July

Up nice and early still feeling bad about losing our dollars last night. Packed up and looking forward to the prospect of an McDonalds breakfast. Something that we hadn't made it for in previous days. I actually got a round of applause from the lads when I managed to choke down a sausage mcmuffin after giving my throat 5 times the recommended dosage of numbing spray. It still hurt but the big dog needs to chow down after 2 days of pretty much nothing. Joe had a late flight so we said our goodbyes with manly hugs and we got in a taxi to the greyhound station. I thought I had said goodbye to the bloody greyhound but it continues to pop up in my life over and over again. The reason this time was it was too expensive to get a car from Vegas and drop it off in L.A. On arrival to the greyhound we encountered a huge que to which we hoped it wasn't ours. Of course it was and we were at the end of it. Quick math made us realise we would be lucky to get on the bus. Hazzar. We made a friend in the que, a girl from Southampton. She had been travelling too telling us stories and what not. I won't bore you with hers as I'm already boring you with mine. I gave strict orders to rich that he was to sit down on the bus, headphones in and not talk to anyone until he finishes at least 3 blogs. He plays the dyslexic card all the time. I promised the same. 3 blogs to be done. We got to the front of the que and the bus was full. Finally greyhound pulled one out of the bag, another bus turned up and only about 10 people got on. That means I can kick rich out of the seat next to me and have a semi lie down. Not an opportunity I get very often. An uneventful and blog full journey was absolute bliss. This girl sat next to Karl and he actually fell asleep whilst this girl was telling her stories. She was nice but after an eventful and tiring Vegas sleep was worth more than a girl on the greyhound. We pulled into of course an awful area of L.A. We quickly hopped in a cab with this girl to where we would drop her off on the way and rack up a $55 taxi fare. Expensive. The sooner we get a car the better. L.A is a big place and we will lose our money otherwise. The sooner we get to hertz the better. The receptionist heard us arguing over who didn't have to share a bed for the night. He said the place wasn't booked up so we managed to get an upgrade. This upgrade was like a room straight out of an old school porno ( I've been told). Three king size beds, huge room, old school tv and in a dodgy area, Inglewood. We all pretty much collapsed in the room after pizza hut and went to sleep. Both rich and Karl had now bought themselves earplugs for my snoring ha. I managed to choke down a couple bits of pizza. Michael is getting better ! Hazar
