Great Dock Neighbors I love the photos of the dock we're sharing at Federal Point -- you're great dock neighbors and Melodeon is a superb ornament for our marina. You've hit the bitterest weather we've had here in the 12 years Beverly and I have been in Wilmington -- so give yourselves credit for surviving a really trying time. Glad he Cape Fear Sail and Power Squadron could bring you some holiday cheer and crew for your next leg. Alan Smith - MY Incredible
Marion Hi Coz! Thanks so much. Frank's on the mend and we're getting ready to start a new chapter. Glad our tale is creating some enjoyment. Merry Christmas to you and love to all the 'loveable' people around you. Chris and Frank ; ))
thinking of you both - happy birthday Frank - merry christmas to you both - love your blog and pictures - glad you are recovering Frank - love you both -
Mark and Marion Thanks M/M. Frank's special birthday treat was a horse drawn sleigh ride with Christmas carols in Wilmington, NC... really. The horses, Ned and Harry, are rescued, dappled grey work horses, who work to pay for their rescue farm! You just never know where life is going to take you... have a wonderful, rum soaked Christmas in front of a hot fireplace! Cheers, CFG
Snow for Christmas Hi Sonia. NO snow. Hold that thought. There's been a frosty dock and some snow further north in NC. Temperature in the low 30's F at night but the boat is warm. Frank's starting to walk very carefully with a cane. We'll be here probably until Dec. 29th when we get some crew help. Have a great holiday, turkey and all! Love CFG
Snow for Christmas? Hi there. Was just watching the news about all the snow along the East Coast, and was curious as to what you were blessed with. How it wasn't enough to dampen your spirits. Hopefully the pictures will still be blue and not white. Take care...Sonia..
P.S. I think my hubby will be home for Xmas.
Grounded Dear Chris and Frank. Sorry to read about the accident. Hope all is healing well by now and that the enforced inactivity gives you a chance to regroup and helps you to surge on ahead with renewed vigor once the stitches are out and you are feeling in top form again.
We wish you all the best.
Herb and Ursula.
Franks birthday Well tomorrow is a special day. It is your birthday Frank. Happy birthday .
wish we were there drinking rum,and basking in the sun while you sit with your bad foot up drinking hot lemon tea. All the best love Mark, and Marian.

Don't know why.. Thanks Lorne. Love the name of your new boat. There's one next to us here called 'Lazy Boar'. Hope you have a great holiday. The rate we're going we won't be by you until 2011. LOL CFG
Hope you are getting better Hello John: Frank's definitely on the mend, thanks. We like the Florida comment. It's not that we're sloooooow; maybe we're just specializing in the South Atlantic passage. Cheers to the 'Beans'! CFG
You've had a bit of a go at it! Heh Toni: "Tings is lookin up" ; ) Hope you have a beautiful Christmas. We'll pat Ginger AND a couple of dolphins for you! Cheers CFG
No snow for Christmas for you Hi Linda: Frank's doing a lot better each day... it was quite scary. We're really fortunate to be at a lovely, condo style private yacht club about 6 blocks from the clinic.
Sorry to hear about Vern's Mom. Hope you have the kids near-by for Christmas. Please give Vern a hug for us. Thinking of you both. Love CFG
Finding your time to relax Hi Bama: You are SO right... this is the most relaxing time we've had since we left home. Carolina Beach is a lot like Oriental; easy to get around and very friendly people. We knew you wouldn't make it on Sunday because of the season and your business, so we left Moorhead City pretty early. We're here at least until Dec. 23rd. There's tons of live music in Wilmington if you find time for a visit. Looking forward, CFG
Grounded Hi Sonia: Glad you like the blog. It's fun to do but can't get the keyboarding right the first time. If I was playing the piano there'd be a lot of sour notes! Hope you have a great Christmas, even if you have to take Wayne hostage! xox CFG

Grounded OMG!! Way too much unwanted excitement! So glad that Frank's injury wasn't more severe. Think about how bad it could have been. Everything happens for a reason I suppose, and this makes me think it serves as a reminder to be exceptionally careful in confined spaces. (Tell Frank to stop testing you....you have already passed the test..LOL) So enjoy your blog and photos. Thanks for sharing. Enjoy the sunshine and warm breezes.
Finding your time to rest Seems you've found a wonderful setting in which to regroup and relax--but I'm so sorry, Frank, that you were injured. Here's to a speedy and complete recovery. Chris, I'm sorry I couldn't make it to Morehead City after all--too many things on the "to do" list on my Sunday day off, I'm afraid. Shucks. HOWEVER, maybe I am meant to visit you at Carolina Beach instead!!! Will stay in touch, I promise, and let you know when we might be there. You two inspire me.
With a crew of 3, Frank, Chris and Ginger Bear, MELODEON left Fraser Park Marina in Trenton, Ontario, Canada in 2009. Like many aquatic snowbirds heading south, MELODEON voyaged through the Erie Canal, the Hudson River, the Atlantic ocean and the Intercoastal Waterway until reaching sunnier shores in Florida and the Bahamas . 2011-12 is MELODEON's third cruising season, with the last two trips spent lingering in the sparkling waters and peaceful havens of Grand Bahama Island.... full info
