Welcome home Lady Chris, Lord Frank and escort Gingerbear.
By chance did you get to see the "Bluenose 2 " launched?

Nearly home
So do you guys plan to make Nova Scotia your new home? I think you might have been talking about that at some point... I hope we see you in Ontario still sometimes! I guess Robert and I will have a good reason to visit the east coast. He has never been there except in the truck one time. We picked up a load of potatoes in Newfoundland. Mostly these days we drive back and forth across the prairies so not seing much of Charlotte either. Wishing you a wonderful crossing! Love you, Elizabeth xxoo

Safe sailing...homeward bound!
As you and Frank complete the circle, I'll be thinking of you and hoping for fair seas. Looking forward to the landing...or is that docking?

Larry's Lobsterboat: Rockport/dawn delivery.
My daughter and I stayed at the Captain's Bounty in Rockport over the Labor Day weekend. I chase the gorgeous sunrises of Rockport from our balcony and had been on the balcony as Larry came in to the bay. I watched, and photographed, as he pulled alongside the Melodean then continued to photograph as he pulled away and began checking his traps. The Melodean had captivated me from the moment we saw her anchored early in the weekend. I turned my camera on her frequently in an attempt to see if I could determine anything about her. Finding this blog is an absolute delight! Thank you for sharing about this awesome vessel!

Stay Put
C, F and G : We've been watching the bad weather hitting the maritimes and wondering if you are in a safe mooring. The Newfies are are getting hit today by the storm. Lots of flooding in NS as well. Take it easy don't be in a rush to return. Wait for the calm. Be safe. Check your pumps. Practice your bailing skills. G

Retirement
Your last sentence about designing retirement careers is interesting. I am working on a theme of "Reflective Retirement" that gives us creative things to do in those years.I have been watching the weather and Newfoundland gets hit today. I know they are having heavy rain and seas in NS too. This too shall come to pass... your getting close! Cheers, Mike

Keeping an eye out
Dear Chris & Frank: Keeping an eye on your blogs and looking forward to seeing you! It's exciting that you will be in Nova Scotia soon. That's almost home! If you get here in time for ground cherries, there should be lots - the plants are coming up all over the garden (everywhere that my seeds did not germinate thanks to a drought here). So see you soon! Love you, Eliz xoxo

Stuck in the mount of the port, are you?
Glad for the update. We're finally getting rain (actual on Tuesday, and in the forecast for the next four days). We need it desperately. The Bay/Lake and the Moira R. are very, very low (as are the other Great Lakes and rivers flowing into them...as I understand). But we don't need hurricane winds and neither do you guys out on the edge of the Atlantic. Take care. Stay safe. (And keep enjoying those delicious-sounding bagels!) K.

Love Para 1.
Can't say I have ever heard of a TS or larger called 'Michael" afore.Reading 'Witch in the Wind" - The true story of the legendary Bluenose by Marq De Villiers; a good read at the half-way mark. He talks about the 'Outer Automatic' buoy at the entrance to Halifax harbour... remember it well i am sure it is still there... watch for it. Smooth Sailing, Mike
