Weather We are still without meaningful rain. Yesterday they promised 34 mm for this Saturday. This morning it was gone and we are now told about a chance 0f 2 mm on Friday. They have had more in Essex/Kent and Belleville eastward. The westerners and easterners have had too much and we have been watching what is going on south of us... we do not need that either! The way you are moving up the coast you will meet more people and that is good. Good Sailing M&M
Debbie Hi, I have been watching the storm and it has been causing real problems on the Gulf side. Last week we had a tropical storm SE of Nova Scotia (way out to sea) turn into a class 1 Hurricane.. very unusual at the Latitude.
Good Sailing, Mike
Storm Debbie We are praying for you. Marion was in Winnipeg for a short visit recently. She satyed with us for two days and now is at her daughter, Sheila's, new home on the outskirts of the city. She will be back in Vancouver on the 27th. Bill and I will be celebrating our 30th anniversary in Quebec City from July 19 to 21.Stay safe please.
Love
Dorothy
Looking forward to seeing you! Sorry to get a little out of touch - I have been reading your blogs though.
Any idea when you will be showing up in this part of the world? Or will we have to come to Nova Scotia to see you?
Lining up a busy summer - maybe you can get on something.
Easy canoe trip Aug.19-22; Frankford Blues Festival July 13-15 .... haven't figured out August party date yet but maybe Aug.4?? See you soon! Love Eliz XXOO
Welcome back ! Cloud Chaser is still in Kingston preparing to leave in August. i have a family commitment and may not be going with Jerry. He has a number of folks interested in making the trip and i will join him when possible. Keep in touch and hopeto see you soon. Hugs J
Dolphins The dolphinbs wanted to play with Ginger Bear!!!! Happy to hear you are safe. Marion and I had a great time in New York. Enjoy the next leg of your journey.
Dolphins, Porpoise and Whales These are all great escorts. I used to bring them close in by whistling into the underwater telephone, then talk to them a bit.
Good sailing... i am watching. Mike
Welcome Back to the Blog Thanks for blogging again. Happy to hear of your adventures. Good sailing to Halifax. It is great to know you are both doing well. Hugs to all three of you :)
Halifax Bound I remember many occasions of our being south from January to April or May and then being 'Halifax Bound' or 'Homeward Bound'. Good to hear from your three. I think of you often and frequently tell friends about your adventures and wonderful vessel all the while wishing to be doing the same. We are enjoying great weather, but could use some rain for the crops. Good Sailing and Cheers, Mike
nice hood Enjoy the high life. Its cold here and we expect a couple of inches of snow tonight. I met Peggy Nash last night. Drank some beer (Jimmie Stewart bought it), ate a few onion rings and chomped on some hot wings and listend to how she will change things when she is Prime minister. Wishful thinking eh?
Gord.........
High Life Heh. i worked with Peggy. She is really good person. If anyone can make a difference, besides the present company... she can. Did you say hi for me? : )
We thought you were lost. Hi, Chris and Frank. So good to hear from you. You disappeared down the road and that was that. We hope that boating is starting to show its good side to you and that you are enjoying it more. Think of the alternative - we have 3 degr, C and intermittent snow and rain with a mournfully dull sky. Try to keep cheerful and active under those circumstances. Thank goodness we have club meetings, etc. to keep us active.
We hope that you are well, and we wish you a great boating season for 2012.
Ursula and Herb.
Dear friends: As freezing rain comes down here, coating the car in ice and making the road impassable - Xanadu sounds and looks wonderful! Is that in Mexico? Sounds like a Mexican name. Enjoy yourselves. It\'s a good time not to be here.
I am just wrapping up the sale of the Cottage Business, meanwhile booking lots of summer reservations. Happy it is doing well as I turn it over to Debbie (who is getting more excited and terrified everyday!) I think that she would prefer that we were home to answer her calls and emails instead of somewhat inaccessible on the road. But tonight we are on the road again and she is on her own for a week or so until we get back and hand the whole thing over to them. Jan.23 is the changeover date and the next day I will be turning 59! So on to the next chapter! Love you, Eliz XXOO
Happy New Year back to You Where are you now? Was planning a phone call this week. We have had an unusual winter thus far; expect the shoe to fall soon though. We are not complaining, and the sun is on the rise and starting to "arise before I". Still no change in our residential status yet... been a long haul. As last year was the 100 anniversary year of the RCN, I have dug out all my Canadian Naval History books and started a re-read... good winter exercise. Cheers to you three. M&M
Happy New Year back to you! Glad to see sunny pics. We're in the midst of an ice storm: trees shrouded and branches dropping in the back yard! Aren't you glad you're where you are?
Heh Mike. 'Tis the sea-son to see you soon. Thanks for the message. I know you like pot-lucks! Glad you're still having lots of pun. We might make it for your b'day week. Cheers. CF&G
Long time no sea Hi Chris and Frank or vice versa. I finally caught up on your progress and it's great to see you got across and are having a super time and many good supper times it seems. Happy birthday Chris.
Will send an e-mail reviewing my travails. Unfortunately no travels. Mike
With a crew of 3, Frank, Chris and Ginger Bear, MELODEON left Fraser Park Marina in Trenton, Ontario, Canada in 2009. Like many aquatic snowbirds heading south, MELODEON voyaged through the Erie Canal, the Hudson River, the Atlantic ocean and the Intercoastal Waterway until reaching sunnier shores in Florida and the Bahamas . 2011-12 is MELODEON's third cruising season, with the last two trips spent lingering in the sparkling waters and peaceful havens of Grand Bahama Island.... full info
