Just checking in - Dear Susan and Kevin, It is so much fun to relive my past memories through you and your blog. Presently you are retracing areas that we visited together and the words and pictures are very familiar. I keep thinking about taking anther cruise. I would be one of the singles who would bring some life to the widows in the Horizon lounge. What I really miss cruising is traveling with you and the paddle ball sessions on the top deck. Seabourne and Silverseas are nice but no paddle tennis so I would probably remain a Regent cruiser plus I'm seven days shy of the Titanium level and all of the perks. It is Nov. 1 and it looks like I may get in another morning outside on the tennis courts or maybe golf. Skiing is just around the corner. I guess you remember I turned 80 on our 2009 World Cruise. Much love and happy memories to you both. - Ted
Memories You guys continue to do it. Your good narratives bring back memories of visits taken over the years.
Good to have seen you in Mill Valley before you took off on the latest adventure.
Keep up the good work and continuing to make us envious.
Nice to hear from you I am so sorry to hear about Judy. I lost my brother last year and I know how difficult it is. Glad you and Kevin are still hosting. We may be relocating out of California and I hope that this will help me get on board again with the two of you. Take care and my love to you both. It’s been a long time.
So glad I saw you on Mana... ... even if it was briefly. It was special for my sister to meet you, and you, her. Let me know when you're coming back... I'll plan better. :)) Wonderful the family time you had; my condolences for Judy... Your cruise sounds absolutely lovely! Looking forward to hearing more of your travels. I will picture you on top of some boat, watching the sunsets. :))
I just found a group email from you from this past September talking about the Regent Mariner. We first met you on that ship when we booked with Golden Bear and learned we were with Virtuoso Club. This message got lost for me when I got a new Apple laptop last Fall. We love hearing from you and just wish we could sail with you two again. Are you scheduled for any Regents coming up? We haven't booked any cruises with Cruise Specialists since Bonnie Childs retired. We do miss being part of Virtuoso . You spoiled us. We have a very good friend who lives two doors from us at our retirement community (who will have her 93rd birthday next Sunday) who often travels with us. She loves Regent . The only problem, I can't keep up with her !! The only other problem is she does not like sea days (which Nelson and I love). She wants to hop off every day! I would love to do a cruise with her where you were the hosts. Truly, we will see what looks good coming up and would very much like to know your upcoming plans. Your new home in Florida sounds wonderful. So glad we feel you are friends even though its been a while since we were together. We have 130 nites with Regent. Our last was transatlantic on the Navigator last Spring. Liked it a lot but always love the Mariner and Voyager. Much love and our best wishes. Gladys and Nelson
Samoa Great to see you guys have not slowed down although I was you had to cut your trip short and for such a sad reason.
Loved the pictures, especially from Samoa and Tonga. We visited there several years ago and I was struck by how much Samoa reminded me of growing up in Hawaii many years ago when things were very laid back and, at least in Hilo where I grew up, very rural. Much like Tahiti and French Polynesia.
Not much going on here. Just did a week in the Caribbean to get out of the Pacific Northwest rain. Also booked a Regent cruise for 2019 starting with 3 days in Tokyo and sailing to Vancouver via Alaska. Remodeling the house this year so that will limit travel for 2017 and have not planned out 2018 yet.
Safe travels and hope we cross paths.
Our Condolences Susan, we are so sorry to hear about your sister. Our thoughts are with you at this most sad time. On a happier note, Ellie is adorable! Love, Mary Ann & Bobby
Ah to be cruising when Drumpf arrives in Washington Your timing could not have been more perfect. Of if only one of those humpbacks would swallow the usurper!
Ship Ahoy Boy, I think you covered all the sciences, plant and animal beings, and weather and sea conditions . . World Cruising really is mind expanding. I'm currently in Playa Del Carmen, with an old Navy Roommate. ( the one I drove to Cabo and back with .) I can say OLD, because now we are both officially retired. Will you two ever retire? Or is this a perminante way of life? . . and if you did retire what would you do? Stay at home? Sail on !
Missing you two What a great way to spend the holidays! You're giving me wonderlust...we haven't been onboard ship for 5 years. That's going to change very soon. Love your blog....keep up the good work!

Happy New Year Susan and Kevin-- Always a treat to hear from you and see your pictures of somewhere picturesque and warm. Except for one weekend in mid-December when the temps were in single digits and we got 2-3 inches of snow, it has been very tolerable. We went ice skating with three of the granddaughters a couple of days and it was 50 degrees out. I was wearing my ancient skates when I noticed something was wrong. I wasn't sure what but I knew my feet weren't cooperating with the rest of my body. I finally had to go down on my knees and crawl out--most humiliating. The blades had come unglued from the bottom of the skate on one shoe. No good. Other than hurt pride, the experience was uneventful.
We had a fun, family-filled Christmas Eve and day. This week between Christmas and New Year's has been so relaxing. No kids to pick up after school, no sports, no holiday preparations. I love Christmas but it is so much work.
Surprises M ark Conroy-didn't know he was leading Silver Seas. His touch will be wonderful.
Mel Owen on board. He and GIg are old friends from Grindstones. Lovely people. Of course you have seen their vintage yacht
Have more fun. Lookling forward to clearing more.
