Hi Jon! Yes, I subscribed. And yes, I'm reading this. I will soon be in Madrid to help a niece settle in. Perhaps on my next visit, I can swing by London to have a cuppa with you. Buenas suertes!
Just read it after reading your last post. Hope Ana got a decent job already and you are enjoying your life in London. I saw your message on LinkedIn some time ago in one of Ukrainian groups. Looking forward to read more...

Escape from Moscow Another good entry. Thank you for sharing your memories with us. I recall you are living in Wembley, the place of my birth and where I lived with my parents for 21 years. It's now Little Delhi of course, but I left many happy memories of my youth behind there. You could call it, 'escape from Wembley'. Now living in retirement in quiet rural Suffolk when not travelling.(Back from Ecuador late last night)
Keep writing - and I'll keep reading!
David
good to see you blogging again! Glad all's going well for you in London, although my trips to Ukraine (one of which I got back from less than an hour ago) aren't as fun as they were a year ago! Say hi to Nastya for me
Wow, good to see you blogging again We really enjoy your work and are happy to see you writing again. You look happy. Hope you will continue publishing.
Great to see you blogging again! Agree with Lili\'s comment, both you and Ana look great together. 800 job applications?! With all of that work, it is no surprise that you haven not been writing blogs - I wonder if you had any time for sleep!

you are back! So am I. Though I never really left. Just got busy and simply sneaked in and out of TB , not much moderating to do. But glad to be reading your blog again. Light and easy this time. You and Ana are looking great!
Powerful...I could relate to the panic factor, having been "out on the street" for a night in China (though no robbery was involved). But your writing style really takes the reader in, regardless of prior experience; it's terrifying and visceral, and yet you end on a reflective note. Great work.
Blog of the year, 2010 Congratulations! :) This blog was nominated one of the best of 2010, in the Europe/adventure category.

Miss your blogs! Hi Jon Sure miss your blogs. I read that you were not in Ukraine anymore. I hope you start writing on TB again (and posting pics too)
Good luck in whatever you are doing now, but don't stop blogging!
oh wow! I'm still trying to figure out how I missed this blog when you first published it! Freakin' fantastic work. Are you sure you are 21. You sound worldly years beyond...must have to do with experiencing Moscow the way you did. Cheers. Andrea
Congratulations! This photo is currently on the Front Page. I hope married life is treating you well, and you will soon be providing lots of baby bloggers, for TravelBlog. ;)
I am a British translator and travel writer. I now live in London, after working in Ukraine for three years. My blog is a collection of stories about the people and places that have captured my imagination during my travels through Europe - I hope you'll enjoy them.
