So I just had to share with you some amazing photo's from sunrise over at Coconut Beach after setting off at 5am to climb a ruggid headland in the dark with no torch...which proved interesting, to Sunset up at Cooks look !!! ....We headed over to Coconut while the stars were still bright in the sky ....climbing the ruggid path we hit Lizard point just as the sun was heading up. After finding the rope we abseiled down onto the most perfect beach to watch the sun come up over the headland..... ...after a few crazy moments of headstands we cruise on back up teh beach to spot several turtles obviously waking up to the heat of the sun too in the water!! So as we are off to a good start to the day we ... read more

So it actually is a weekend not friday on a monday or saturday on a thursday but actually saturday the 10th May and we woke up to a cloudy drizzly day again very unmotivated so headed over chinamans to Watsons bay where for some reason today there were plenty of catamarans parked like cars in a carpark....... it was chilly which is very bizarre to say so we walked to the end of the beach where the foot of cooks look began and where we had been told the snorkelling was pretty interresting laid out our towels and before we knew it started to snore ...before too long we were woken by passers by thinking at 9 o clock in the morning ...not nice weather ..still fully clothes why were these girls crashed out on the ... read more

A very lazy morning ...waking up late ....crawling to the staff mess after a night of red wine and movies (after work)..eating lunch and a forseen day on the couch turned actually into quite an adventure...so firstly i shall introduce my fellow adventure buddy Chelsea..my work buddy and the adventure Queen ... we packed our Lizard backpacks and headed to the airstrip where we were fighting through gale force winds.....(well kinda!!) to reach the end of this treachorously long road to the beautiful beautiful Blue Lagoon.... ....the tide was at its lowest allowing us to walk around the headland through the water ....with our underwater cameras we became snap happy and seeing as the water had already soaked us we just headed out on a snorkel ...with no fins and fighting the waves and chasing rays ... read more

After returning to Australia I take a quick visit to Surfers and then hire a car and drive the 12 hour drive to Mackay to catch the plane over to Brampton Island where I worked in the restaurant in the resort for 3 months..... Being a tropical Island on the great barrier and whitsundays..the island was full of wierd and wanderful creature...snakes...spiders...parrots ...lauriquetes.. flying foxes and best of all kangaroos the size of me..... After a very bad flood hit to the island the resort was back up and running and we enjoyed a pleasurable 2 hour flight over whitehaven beach and around the whitsundays....enjoy the photographs....... read more

After an amazing day at the glaciers ....picking up two friends and getting bitten to death by sand flies at our over night stop off we head south to Queenstown stopping at a few walks and falls and generally taking it easy until we reach queenstown ...tired and hungry!!! After a good shopping trip for cheese crackers and wine we find the classiest camping ground in queenstown and set ourselves up for the night!!!!! The following day we went White river rafting then took the gondola and drank cocktails at the top.....too hungover the next day to think we cruised around queenstown generally wasting time untill we departed with our much loved home of two weeks.....what a sad moment that was. Me and Chris then headed off for our 3 day trek on the routeburn trail ... read more

Ok I think I have to say this was teh best part of the trip yet.....we arrived at Franz Joseph Glacier late and found a rainforest campsite to stay had a couple of drinks and dinner and then hit the sack.... In the morning we set off for Franz Joseph where we did a walk to the mirror lake and to the base of the glacier ......we then jumped in the van and drove to Fox where we enjoyed the best heli ride ever only to land on the glacier and hike the ice then go on a rollar coaster ride on the return journey in the heli.... Funny enough we met up wih our caving buddies from the north island who we contined our journey with and share good wine and conversation!!!! ... read more

After a long drive from Tongarira National Park we headed down South on teh Wellington Ferry to Picton and drove through the vineyards of teh Marlborough Country unfortunately an hour after closing....... We decided to rest in Nelson and spent the next day wnadering around the cute town which we both liked very much. After half a day of shopping we had the fantastic idea of going hangliding which was amazing and then hit the road to abel tasmin national park where we stopped and did several short walks. Without a doubt on one of our walks to the waterfall it started ranning hard which made it actually more enjoyable.... After a day hopping in and out the car we headed south in mind for the Glaciers however stopping at several sites on the way including ... read more
