A friend referred me to a travel group in their office who's planning to hike in Batad/Banaue Rice Terraces. I've been wanting to go there since the rice terraces seem so pretty in pictures. Because of the beautiful pictures that I saw and my yearning to do a little hiking again.. I decided to join them. Initially, I thought that the hike will just be an easy one..so my plan was really to appreciate the scenic view of the mountains and just take a lot of pictures. It was early in the morning when we arrived in Batad, we checked in at a local transient inn near Batad and then off we go to our first adventure. The trail to the rice terraces on to Tappiya falls was easy at first but then it became really ... read more

I went to Bangkok last year not for leisure but instead for a business trip. We had to do a product presentation to 2 of our clients there so after work, we took the chance to see what's in Bangkok. Since we just have a day, we just had a food trip and also see some of the temples. The tuk-tuk that we hailed suggested a few stops for us..but it looks like the tourist spots that they were suggesting is just for marketing campaign of the products that they sell.. they even dropped us off to a fabric store and a jewelry store... I didn't plan to buy anything because I was just there to see the place and not to shop.. Bangkok is pretty much like Manila also... so maybe next time..I'd rather go ... read more

I'm the type of person who really doesn't mind to hike a long way if the view at the end of the trail is all worth it and breath taking. For this reason, hike to Mt.Pinatubo has been enjoyable for me. I've been here twice - one time with my sister and the other time with a very close friend. My sister loves photography, so she'll always take any chance to travel so she can take a lot of really nice pictures. The first time, I went to Mt.Pinatubo, the trek just took about 1.5 hours. This doesn't include the bumpy 4x4 ride... but nevertheless..I enjoyed it. During the bumpy ride, I realized that before Mt.Pinatubo became a tourist attraction in the Philippines, it first erupted and it's ashes even reached as far as Metro Manila. ... read more

If there's one place that I'd really like to go back.. it's Yellowstone... The place is exquisite... The moment we arrived at Yellowstone, I was amazed how nature can paint and carve such kind of sight. The mountains, geysers, landscapes, streams together with the animals are just picture perfect! We just drove to Wyoming from Salt Lake. It was a good thing that one of us is very good in reading road maps.. so going to Yellowstone wasn't that difficult for us. We were able to go to Yellowstone because we made one of our friends promise that before we go home to Manila he should be able to take us to Yellowstone. And.. promise was kept.. the trip was really worth while... We were able to get an affordable place to stay... we stayed in ... read more

I was able to go to Bryce Canyon when I was onshored in Salt Lake last year. Me and my office mates woke up early in the morning.. around 5AM and we were on the road to Bryce by 6AM. It was a good thing that one of my office mate knows his way around Utah so we were able to get to Bryce without getting lost on the road.. We passed through the scenic road.. seeing red canyon and all the amazing rock formations.. We stopped near red canyon to take pictures and to rest for a while after the long drive.. one of my friend.. the one driving the car, got something at the trunk of the car and then he suddenly blurted out that he accidentally left the car key in the trunk.. ... read more
