So Excited For You So pleased that your trip is falling into place so well. I know that your journey will be an answer to many prayers. Love watching you bless all of these women over these two weeks and how wonderfully you will impact their futures.
Arriving in SA Glad you got some sleep!!! Just so you know.. and can feel oh, so much better... it's about -7 here, snowing, with a freezing rain warning... the plan for networking meeting may have to be scuttled as the roads into The Gravel Road are treacherous in those conditions. Enjoy the air, the people, the lattes, the walks, the talks, the meetings, the workouts, the sun, the music, the dance...
What I love about London Heathrow International Airport Hi Pat, you reminded me of my time in Heathrow a year and a bit ago. I was also very impressed with the shopping, the feel, the size, the way it is linked to the city's core by rail. (Must admit it was very far from empty when I was there.) But, right now ... my favourite thing about it is that it's taking such good care of you.
No loud announcements via PA system I love the thought of no announcements and creating a sense of personal responsibility! Thanks for sharing this wonderful experience.
I will get to LHR soon to experience. Enjoy your trip.
Hey if I haven't.... ...yep, if I haven't found a way yet to get back on the road myself - then in the meantime nothing wrong with letting you, especially you with your enthusiasm - let me do it vicariously. I love London. At one time, I had visited enough times to begin to feel like it was a second home. And people in the U.K. are not like the stereotype of not expressing their emotions - I found everyone I encountered as kind, helpful, engaging....thanks for letting us take the journey with you! You are contagious..... or is it traveling? Okay, it's both.... :-)
Heathrow is Tops Love the restaurants and the wonderful shops, even though I am not a shopper - I agree with your comment Pat - I love to look at shops with beautiful stuff to sell. Last time I was in Heathrow Airport, I had the most delicious breakfast at a French bistro... so civilized! Latte, croissant, delicious butter and orange marmelade. Enjoy the trip to South Africa, at least you are on the same time. Besitos, Gitte
Wishing you a beautiful adventure Hi Pat, I quite envious of you right now. My trip to Kenya in 1991 has yet to be surpassed--Africa is truly intoxicating. I'm there in spirit with you this time and I truly want to return to some part of Africa at some point. Enjoy!

Welcome to my travel blog! I'm about to head off on another adventure.
Many of you, on this list, signed up when I was blogging for the World Tour for Travel Guild - this trip is not associated with that group - it is a totally different adventure. So, if you choose NOT to follow, just click 'unsubscribe' and you will no longer hear from me!
If, on the other hand, you do want to follow - I'm excited.
We're going to be travelling to Zambia, Zimbabwe and I will be speaking in Johannesburg on International Women's Day - and I have the honor of blogging the trip for YOU! I'll be writing... full info
