The little Africa hiatus was done to ease us out of checking our emails for new sights and adventures, eh? You, in turn, might need to send some to work out the habit of sending recaps of your days. What a fabulous time you have had - great food, memories, experiences, camaraderie, and pictures to prove it. Well done - BRAVO! Take care, Linda |

You and your companions look as peppy as ever despite the great distances travelled, treks on numerous planes and other means of transportation, touring, snacking and dining....big time. Seeing that you are in cooler climates assures me that the Albertans will be more in tune to what awaits them back home. Keep on smiling and make the most of the remaining days of your adventure. Thanks for the visual sharing with those of us left behind and for the commentary every step along the way. |

| 28th November 2007 marg | real estate comment - From: Dubai, from the sky! watched a program on dubai - the Islands they build in the sea all have water front views - raises the value of them - very inventive - what an amazing creation in the desert - cool |
| 28th November 2007 Diann Vail | Palm Islands - From: Dubai, from the sky! Hi pat - I just watched a documentary on how the Palm Islands were created. IT seems that money can buy almost everything - including land added to your country. Can't imagine feeling secure at all living there - what happens if ocean levels rise? Also - all I could think of is how difficult it would be to escape from there - when all the traffic must pass through a bottleneck. Even those round circles of private homes - they must all pass through the 'stem' of the design to get out. Hmmmm - I've studied far too much about women in these countries. It's all fascinating though - to see how a tiny country creates more space. Japan does the same thing, of course, but not to that extent. Maybe Japan is more vulnerable to tsunami's - and that is why they don't extend their land as much as they have in Dubai. Still enjoying your blogs..... still thinking about how to do this trip myself. Diann |
| 28th November 2007 Yan | Wow again!!! - From: Out of Kenya! Hi Pat, Looks like you still have lots of fun out there!
