Santiago was just a stop on the way to pucon but i decided that i would stroll the city and see the sites it has to show. The two Israeli guys from Aconcagua joined me and together we wondered the streets of Santiago. Mostly Santiago is a grey city, we climbed up to a vista place to see the view and also ate in a turkish resturant which server falafel (not very good and not very bad). We also visited a museum of Ancient civilizations here and i became more and more convinced that the locals in SA stayed primitive and did not change their way of life since 1500 BC. Anyway it was a nice day though a bit long as the bus to pucon was only at 2230 at night. But sleeping in a ... read more

Mendoza is the center of wines in Argentina. I arrived there and found a place in a hostel i was recommended of to find it full of only local tourists. That evening i hung around 4 Argentinean guys from the Pampas in Argentina that were there to see the Boca Vs. River soccer game. They invited me to join them for Asado dinner and so for the first time i saw professionals do asado in argentina. They prepared everything so quickly and in the correct order that nothing went wrong. The dinner was a great success. The next day i went to look for partners to climb with me the Aconcagua. I found two israelis in a hostel to which i then moved who wanted to join me on the trek. We decided to go to ... read more

I arrived to Buenos aries on friday after revieving a notice from my credit card company that the card was faked and that i would have to revieve a new one in the mail and cancel the old one. Luckly i have enough money to continue without the urgent need for the credit card and the new one will (hopefully) be waiting for me in my next station - Mendoza. In buenos aries i visited the famous cemetary were many of the leaders of Argentina were buried, among them evita paron. When going to the cemetray i encountered two brazilian girls that were in spanish school in BA and i joined them for the rest of the weekend vacation they had. After the cemetary we visited the Japaneze gardens (a big name for a garden the ... read more

Well, i arrived to iguacu after a 18 hour drive in a bus. The ride was great as we were served food all the way and were being taken of really well. On the arival i found out that the couple in front of me was irish and that they too were on the way to the same hostel i was and so we shared a taxi to the argentinian side of the falls and then took a bus together to the hostel. The hostel appears to be a party place with a pool and very nice staff. Also there is a big group of argeninian girls here along with a guy that seems to control them all dancing all night near the pool (should have taken photos of that....). Anyway i am having a really ... read more

The last week or so was a beach and relax era. So i was just to lazy to update this blog about what i was doing. Anyway i was in an island called Ilha do Mel where on deserted beaches the sun scorched my back and arms. I walked around the island with two of Brazilan guys which i think were gay. It was funny, them speaking to me a language i dont understand. Me answering with No entindo - i dont understand and the three of us just walking around the island. The Island is a most beautiful place with emty beaches with nice scenery and every day i walked to some other part of the island. From there i moved to florianopolis, where i found two english guys i met previously in Rio. The ... read more

Well, The flight from israel was late on departure, because of a crack in the pilot's windsheild (which would have made it a non shield if the flight would have taken off). Luckly i had 4 hours between the flights and thus i reached the flight on the last second, which did not help me avoid waiting for another delay, this time in the flight to rio, for another hour. At the end i reached the hotel Stone of a Beach at about 1 AM local time after a 24 hour journey. Here in Rio its summer and the humidity and temperatures remind me of a really bad summer day in Tel-Aviv. Anyway i didnt wait much and went on a tour to see Jesus standing and a set of really nice mosaic stairs . Also ... read more
