Thursday 6-22... Breakfast. Off ship with friends. Kelly and Jeremy. 20€ for taxi van to vineyard. Hot. Hot. Hot. Traffic. Idiot drivers on motor bikes. Heather in front seat of van...Asks driver "How often do motor bikes he hit?" Our driver looks at Heather and almost hits a motor bike. Lol... MURGO Vineyard.....Very interesting process. Established late 1800's. Nice tour. Then the food and wine... The food....3 different cheeses ? and 3 different meats. 2 different breads (soft/chewy & crunchy). 3 different spreads and an olive oil. 6 different anti pastas...baked cauliflower, 2 different mushrooms, potato salad, baked zucchini, & ratatouille. Then 2 DELICIOUS pastas. Wine....Was suppose to be 5 tastings. But we got 6...2 bruts and 2 rose' and 2 reds. And we got 2 or more pours of each. Then we ordered 2 bottles ... read more

As you can tell....I'm way behind on the blog but we are so busy and having so much fun ...Who has time. And actually T-Mobile service is great for face timing and texting but not doing the blog. Last day in Venice before we board our cruise ship...Went by so fast. Heather and Suzy got up early and heading to 'climb' the bell tower at St. Mark's Plaza. Kelly and I got going exploring another section of Venice. Kelly and I managed to get semi lost and it was a relaxing morning. And apparently there is an elevator in the bell tower so they didn't have to climb. Lazy lazy kids. Lol... Suzy and I did the most typical/cliche tourist thing possible. Yup you guessed it... A Gondola boat ride. It was actually relaxing and informative. The man was very nice and answered our question. Was it expensive? Yes but we didn't care. Venice....Wow... Boat transfer to our hotel which is right on the Grand Canal. Rooms weren't ready so we left our bags and walked around and got out first Gelato!!! And Spaghetti Bolognese. Mmm mmm good. Small surprise...The cover charge to sit and eat at some places. Oh well we are getting use to it. Back to hotel and rooms are ready at 2:00. We've now been up since 6:00am Louisville time (26 hours). Shower time and a power nap. My goal in Venice is to eat Gelato, get loss, and drink wine. 2 of 3 accomplished. We were too tired for wine. It's now 9:45pm on Saturday night June 10th. Heather and Kelly and Suzy and I have spent all day packing and packing and packing. How do you lack for 2 weeks? And in only one checked bag and a carry on? This has been hard. As soon as I thought I was packed, I second guessed myself. This is what our,extra bedroom has looked like for the last 3 or so days.... I have officially given up. My bags are packed. As long as I have my lidense, passport, visa, phone, and cash....I can hippy anything else. I don't want to have to shop, but I will if I have to. Check bag comes in at 41lbs and the carry in comes in at 18lbs. I'll take it. Now for,my blonde moment...At 8:45 tonight I realized ... read more
