If anyone is still reading about my trip and hasnt forgotten me entirely :) My Next stop was London. Just a quick visit of four days i thought would be suffice but i love the place and could have spent a lot longer just wandering around. As i am not good with remembering which days i did what it shall be a summary of the visit on a whole. I do know that i arrived on the 9th November via the eurostar from Paris at around 8pm local time. So i hopped on the underground and headed towards Russel Square. The ticket for two stops was £4 :S argh! i knew i was in for a BIT of an expensive time. But seeing as the dollar is at about 50p i was feeling a little better. ... read more

After Paree i parted from my fellow travellers and flew on up to Copenhagen. And i would be greeted at the airport by someone whom i had never met but would be staying with for a week. This person was Karen. A dear friend of Tiffany's whom knew her from her stay in England a few years back. I arrived in Copenhagen at the same time as 3 plane loads of soldiers returning from the middle east. So the arrival gates were filled with cheering families waving flags and lots of soldiers. I lingered as i didnt want to walk out with a group of soldiers, and waited for the opportune moment to which i wouldnt receive any cheers. I met Karen and we returned to her apartment. THe week was spent meeting some of her ... read more

I love Paris! Well i love all of France. I do wish i could speak french and soon i will but for now i can only admire this city. I have been here a week already and it has flown by so quickly! We have walked a million miles. Our first day was Jessie's birthday and we went out for lunch. Then walked up to Sacre Couer. It is only a 5 minute walk from our apartment. It is so pretty from the outside. Im not sure what days we have done what so ill just let you know what has taken place in the past week. We walked to the le tour de Eifel but didnt climb it. We got all out photos becasue the sky was blue and the weather was warm! we were ... read more

Since i wrote last i have done the whole northern loop. From Paris we went to Bruges. which is a little medievil type town that doesn really have much to do. There is a quote from the movie In Bruges that goes a little soething like this.... "Ken, I grew up in Dublin. I love Dublin. If I grew up on a farm, and was retarded, Bruges might impress me but I didn , so it doesn ." but one thing it does have going for it is the FOOD! glorious food.. Firstly belgium invented the fritz or fries as we like to call them. and there are two main caravan chip sellers that have been competing for years over whose are the besst so naturally we had to try both. And the belgium waffles.. AMAZING! ... read more

Yes its not nice but its only been a day so im hoping i will recovery rather quickly. Today was our one day in Paris, as we are coming back at the end for a week. We did a free walking tour... very informative. uno problemo.. the pouring rain. that didnt stop us wandering round listening for 3 and a half hours about kings and world wars and architecture. Back in the hostel with drying shoes and jeans but now in ... read more

I am actually back in Frnace now having just returned from our 3 day stint in Switzerland. Let me just say WOW. Switzerland is the most beautiful place by far. I made up their motto "Keep It Green Keep It Clean". They Recycle everything etc. and there is no rubbish anywhere and its just wow... green and lush. Before i get to that though i shall retrace my past week since Nice the first (im in Nice again for a night, just passing through). After our rainy day in Nice/ Monaco we hopped aboard the busabout bus and headed to our next destination which was Milan. We had been told there wasnt much to do. In the words of Lonely Planet "Milan is not good for budget travllers and does not lend itseld to idle wandering ... read more

Sorry to leave you hanging for a week but i just havent had the time. Our place of rest and at the moment is a cool little hostel in Nice. Free Internet, breakfast included (really good) and a shuttle to the tram every 15 minutes. The reason i titled this piece 'feeling the burn' is because unlike my fellow travellers yesterday i got a little bit burnt and when i say a little bit.. justa little lobster on my arms forehead and chest. THe others didnt get a spot of pink but i guess i have pale skin so i must suffer!! Also feeling the burn in my legs. Apart from the sun in Nice it is a very beautiful place. Yesterday we ventured in and sat on the pebblestione beach for a little bit. The ... read more

My free internet that is... Even though i only updated you all yesterday i feel like because i usually speak to you everyday i should be allowed the right to write you everyday or however often i like. It may be a bunch of useless nonsense but who cares. i feel like writing so i will. When one travels- well when i travel- i always have this constant nagging in the back of my head about money this money that. Why cant i just be rich and enjoy all that this great nation has to offer? We complain about the price of public transport in Melbourne. Try being in Greece and having to pay 1.40 euro for a one time bus ride. so if you are needing to change buses thats another 1.4 euro.. etc. and ... read more
