22nd APRIL 2009 - HANGOVER DAY SPENT ALONE & A SPOT OF SURFING!! I woke up at around 9am...still tipsy from the night before. 21st APRIL 2009 - MY SHOCKING ATTEMPT AT HULA & ORGANISED PUB CRAWL!! I got up at 8am and did my usual routine of breakfast, internet and tv. Nat got up at around 9am and came to joine me in front of the tv. 20th APRIL 2009 - BEACH BUMMING.....IT'S LIKE WE'RE ON HOLIDAY OR SOMETHING!!! I woke up early once again and whilst Nat slept I amused myself with having breakfast, the net and the TV. 19th APRIL 2009 - A WALK TO DIAMOND HEAD & BEACH TIME!! I woke up pretty early this morning and after getting dressed I took myself off to the kitchen for some breakfast. Nat was still sleeping as she was still tired from the flight from Fiji. I amused myself around the hostel whilst she slept. I went on the net for 30 minutes or so and then found a few good tv channels showing films. Time passed quickly to 10am, which was when Nat surfaced. 18th APRIL 2009 - A VISIT TO PEARL HARBOUR & HAWAII AT NIGHT!! I woke up just after 7am. The bin men were to blame and they were so loud I felt like they were in the room...how inconsiderate especially on a weekend! 17th APRIL 2009 - ROCKING UP IN HAWAII!! Aloha Hawaii! 6.30am when the plane landed and I was like a kid at christmas...very very excited!! I guess some childhood dreams do come true! Off the plane we picked up our luggage and queued up through passport control. A relly rude lady began shouting 'this way sir' over and over until the guy at the front realised she was talking to him. 17th APRIL 2009 - MUD POOLS & VISA WAIVERS We got up at around 7.30am and after getting dressed we headed to the bar to get some breakfast. Pancakes again...hopefully my last because as tasty as they are my clothing fasteners are strugging at the moment!! 15th APRIL 2009 - AMAZING BUS JOURNEY!! It was a long 4 hour journey to VoliVoli Resort just outside of RakiRaki. We were sat at the front. The engine was so loud the radio could not be heard and so I put my ipod in full blast...not so good for the eardrums!! I was very tired but as we set off and I saw the sights I could not close my eyes! I was amazed by everything. The road conditions were awful. 14th APRIL 2009 - ARRIVAL IN SUVA Once off the bus in Suva we got into a taxi and headed to Raintree Lodge (our resort). It was 7km out of town and so not in the best location but the price was right! The place was really nice and they upgraded us to a double room rather than a dorm...bit of a brucey bonus there!! There were some cool waterfalls nearby and the resort was set on a big lake...would have been awesome had it not been raining and the falls not closed over Easter. Oh well!! 13th APRIL 2009 - UPRISING NOT SO UPRISING!!! We arrived at Uprising Resort at around mid-day. We were given our beds in the tree house dorm. So cool...a dorm up in a tree...it's like I am 5 years old again! We then went off to explore. It was a nice enough place but as it was the bank holiday weekend there were loads of families there and kids running around.
