Hey hey peeps... How are you going? (That's what they say here in Oz!) After a glorious week in Sydney, where weather is currently as unpredictably sunny/rainy as home... Hello! After hanging out in Chang Mai for a couple of weeks, including a 3 day trip to Pai, I headed South to good old Bangkok where I landed on the (Thai) night bus, caught a public bus for 4baht and eventually got some snooze between 8am and 10am... I then dashed around doing bits before collecting Mum from the airport... how bizaarrre! Sawadi Kaaaaaa!! Hey hey, it's that time again!! The past week, for those of you who didn't know, has been Songkran (well officially 3 days, unless you're in the Songkran capital) - the Thai new year. Thailand is now 2548 years old!! I came from Kanchanaburi to get up here before the transport rush, accomodation price rise, etc. and bumped into Kate, who I'd met in Kanchanburi... which occupied a couple of evenings!! I've been putting off sitting and updating you on my whereabouts! I keep forgetting to update the travelblog, sorry to anyone who's been checking it! When internet is cheaper and speedier, I'll work on sending more piccies... the ones of the island are beeeeuuuutiful!! It's pretty warm here (Chang Mai) but the first couple of evenings in Bangkok were chilly which lowered me in gently! Think I've adjusted quite well! The last few days outdoors have improved my colour slightly... looking forward to some time on the beach! I'm kinda looking forward to occupying myself for a while, maybe a diving course etc. I can use Sally (James' sis) as a base and hopefully it won't be too long til I meet my lover again! Hi peeps, I arrived yesterday afternoon, after my longest flight yet (not to mention the original 24hr delay in London & 8hr delay in Amsterdam; both due to snowy Holland!). I ventured out of the airport and taxied to the destination previously arranged by Kat and her friend, Nat. I made it alive and in one piece!
