Trekking..! Day 4 saw us heading off into the northern hills on a 2 day/1 night trekking adventure..! After being picked up from our guesthouse in only the best transport availlable (back of a ute..), our first stop was a local orchid farm. Luckily the excitement levels increased somewhat, with the next stop being a local snake farm. Nothing like being on holidays to increase the bravado factor, with both Dav and I not only touching, but also 'wearing' a snake on our head and around our necks! Bangkok - Day 2 After a complimentary breakfast, we once again set off into Bangkok... Once again the public transport system was a breeze as we made our way to the Hua Lampong train station to book our overnight train ride up to Chiang Mai. From there we caught a tuk-tuk to Khoasan Rd (and were hideously overcharged we found out later... you live, you learn!) Great market there where we bought some international student cards (for use in the UK...), some clothes (couldn't resist!), and some sandles (see pictures...hehe) Was quite fun bargaining actually, with my best bargain [View Full Entry]

Hi everyone! Well after a long flight (with little sleep) we have arrived safely in bangkok. After nagivating our way through their local bus system, and a peak hour drive into town (not the best timing) we checked into the Park Hotel, and were luckily enough be able to check in at 9am! After some room service (yum!) and a well deserved snooze, we set off into the hustle and bustle.
